I don't understand why people don't like egg nog. Pumpkin egg nog is wonderful too!
The very first time I tried egg nog, it tasted like how nail polish remover smells. I think I got a bad batch or something. I have tried it since then, but it's still not my thing.

I'd rather have milk. ;)

Popclick's thread about Bob got me thinking. There are a number of things about which I could say "I don't see why anyone would do that." This thread is to get those questions answered.

Post in this thread if you want help understanding something you can't fathom. I'll start off, this question is for Catlynn or anyone else who knows.

I don't see why anyone would leave Hawaii. It seems like a wonderful place! What are some bad things about Hawaii? What are common reasons for wanting to head back to the Big 48?

the natives arent to found of non natives and if you find yourself in the wrong place you could die or get badly beaten, ive been there a few times.

Eggnog. It's pretty uncommon in Australia but I've had it before. I think the fact that it has raw egg and that the texture let's you know it's a raw poultry product, is the main reason I don't enjoy the beverage.

No, you're suppose to cook it gently, and the store-bought stuff is pasteurized.
Don't be afraid, make you some nog and enjoy on a hot summer night (weird thought).

I always wondered why egg nog was okay to drink with the raw eggs in it (but I didn't know you cooked it) but raw cookie dough has the "Do not eat raw" warning on it because of the raw eggs. Not that I take heed to that, raw cookie dough is amazing. No shame.

I don't see how anyone could not think. ( I mean, obviously I do, I see it, but I don't understand.) I come from a place (personality-type, upbringing, etc) of deep and constant thought. The need to examine, test, reflect, expand, improve, break-down, grow, change, experiment, compare, contrast, and on and on and on...

As one of my friends once said, "Everything you do or say is always for a reason."

So it can just flabbergast me sometimes that people simply take something presented to them, and then turn it into a hill they'll die on in what (rather indelicately stated) is a brash act of foolishly brazen ignorance.

Anyway, momentary rant aside, please people...use the brain God gave you. It will change everything.

The flavor of Egg Nog has evolved as I've gotten older. As has the flavor of onions and mushrooms.

I used to love Egg Nog as a kid, and now I can't stand it.

I still don't like onions but, a blooming onion is the notable exception.

I love mushrooms now but I used to hate them.

sooooo.......the flavor of eggnog has changed, not your preferences over the years? How interesting.

Would this be micro or macro evolution?

Can you tell I've been hangin' out in the Bible Argument Forum today? :)

Cheers!

Flavor is a complex 3 part thing, much like sound.

Flavor is also subjective.

What the flavor of something is suppose to be is not always what that flavor translates into.

Take a grapefruit, eat some. Not bad? okay.

the next day, eat a bowl of frosted flakes and then eat some. ;)

Frozen Pillsbury Chocolate Chip cookie dough is the best! Just cut off a piece of it and eat it like fudge. I also like my eggs sunny-side up, soft yoke. Raw eggs haven't killed me yet!

I don't see how anyone could do this:

Here, we have an annual fundraising event every December for the special Olympics where people gather pledges then jump into a hole that has been cut into the surface of a frozen lake. It's called the Polar Plunge :p
