Okay, coming back to this thread, here is an option for those of you who wish to keep your long hair but still be in fashion since the new trend seems to be short hair for now.

You can always consider (if you have long hair) getting an insane amount of layers done, this is what I do, I ask my stylist to give me at least 6 layers, this way I get to keep my long hair and it looks short at the front, almost shoulder length and there are layers all the way down your back so you still have the length. It helps more than you know because sometimes I wish to style my hair for it to appear short so this hair cut words for me, then at times I wish it to appear long so it's the best of both worlds not to mention that because of the layers, your hair is really light opposed to how heavy it can become without the layers.

Just a thought.

word. i don't think i can last more than 5 minutes in the door without putting it up.

and i don't know how long your hair is, but what about the marathon detangling sessions? : )
I don't know how the hippie generation managed to cope with all the hair...

Blessings.

I'm not saying that I want to be in fashion, in fact, when something is "in" I usually reconsider it entirely. And I don't need 'ideas' about abuse. This thread kinda backfired, but it at least got more laughs than I thought it would thanks to the guys in the video. YAY MOB JUSTICE WOOP WOOP. I hadn't seen that before, that was cute. I think men should totally have facial hair. God knew what he was doing when he put hair follicles on your faces. Just as long as you bathe, that was the problem with hippies...not their long hair, that was just a symptom of their lack of attention to their hygiene.

Hi; I see your comments on facial hair for men. There has been a bit of discussion on another thread today as to whether to the New Testament Christian Leviticus 19 really applies, in terms of not trimming the corners of one's beard, tattoos, etc.

No, i would not spend years growing my hair down to my waist on the off chance i may get married to someone who may or may not like women with hair down to their lower extremities.
...Well, my wife did The Chop years ago...

I always thought it was interesting (This is just a theological interest, I have no pro-homosexual agenda or opinion on the matter).......that people love to bash gay people for violating the law in Leviticus, yet they ignore the one about not trimming your beard or rounding the top of your head. That one some how doesn't count for them and they trim that beard all year long, yet the homo-sexuals must obey another portion of the same law in the same book or they will burn in hell. I understand why people think beard trimming isn't a big deal but where is the logic in that kind of thinking? lol.

Those people are probably dividing Leviticus into moral and ceremonial laws. Some laws were in place as ceremonial (pointing toward Christ), and those are considered fulfilled in Christ (though his death all things were made clean), while other laws were moral in nature and would continue through the New Testament.

That'd be my guess anyway.

A question which can be asked is: do preachers shave?

If they do, they are maybe admitting that they are not under the law in the Old Testament sense.

The law has been changed in any case, according to Hebrews 7.12; the chapter goes on to say that the law made nothing perfect, but the bringing in of a 'better hope' did, by which we draw near to God.

Maybe because of Romans 1:26-27, which is in the NT, not in the books of law.

Rounding the top of your head like this?

All kidding aside, I'd like to stop for a moment - and I don't mean to derail here - but just need to point out that not everyone is a portrait artist. In fact, some people need to stop. And right now.

While I was thumbing through some pics of Moe - planning my joke and all - I ran across this......well intentioned portrait...that is truly going to give me nightmares. I wanted to share this with you because ...well ... I care.

is that hideous or what?
