About 4 years ago when I was still young (76) a young fellow ran into the back of my truck at Walmart.
No damage to my truck but messed up the front of his car.
He proceeded to say it was my fault using some choice words, so I asked him to not use those words.
He then said he was going to beat me up and when he came at me I hit him one time and he went down.
The police came and asked if he wanted to press charges against me for knocking him down.
He said, with a smile on his face, no was was he going to admit an old man beat him up.
My wife said "I've been telling you you were getting old, now do you believe me?"
THAT is when it hit me!

I love it when an (underestimated) underdog has his day!

When some teenagers at the park said thank you sir after I threw their football back to them over a fence. Maybe it's just very respectful kids but sir makes me feel old lol

I know I’m old if I go out with our toddler in the morning, and I need the rest of the day to recuperate 🫠😂

When talking with my kids using the slang from when I was their ages and they stare at me like I'm from another planet or something :LOL:

When a song comes on and my kids think it's a new band but I can say "I remember when these guys first came out" :love::confused:

When my son (who sees ALL the little details in things) hovers over my head (used to be when I was sitting, but he's almost taller than me now) noticing all the new uncolored hairs (some might call them grey or white,) and asks in his usual very serious tone of voice "Mom, when did you get to be old? I mean, because I thought only old people had white hair, but you've got a bunch of them hiding there."
:mad: Then I remembered a thread and photo once started/shared by @seoulsearch (a single stray grey) and smiled. I said to him "Son, we don't call them 'grey hairs'... we call them "sparkles". :giggle:
