Not really knowing how to make friends with girls.
Being shy around other people and girls.

I am enjoying being single, but there are times when I think I would enjoy a gf's company. I would say that I have remained single because it is nice to not be tied down. The main thing is probably that a Christian vegetarian woman accounts for less than .5% of the worlds population. I am not willing to compromise on the Christian aspect. Since I am a vegetarian I would also like my gf to be one also, although I may be willing to compromise on this. I guess I just got my expectations set way high lol.

:) thanks Nod! And thank u Amber!

Ok, to be honest here, I am single because I spent most of my adult life working and not having any social life. I did date a few women but for one reason or another it didn't last, but I never had a bad breakup and never even got in an argument with any of the women I dated. One woman had an ex who I found out was in jail. I couldn't really deal with that because he was due to get out in a year. Another had an ex-bf who was stalking her and he was also a cop and ex marine. Another woman just lived too far (almost 80 miles one way). Some of them had children and I have no problem dating a woman with children. I have no problem dating any woman as long as we like each other. Right now I still have no social life but maybe when I start working again I can do something about that. Now I have Christ in my life and thats something I didn't have before, so I guess anything's possilble...

Really?? lol I guess it is funny now, but the poor girl would cry because he wouldn't leave her alone and she actually put a restraining order on him.

Sorry to hear that. But I was thinking about you instead of her. I read that sentence in a different perspective. I should have thought about her too.

Oh I see lol. Yea I didn't want to find out what he does to guys who date the woman he's obsessing over :) I would be the first too, because she broke up with him just before we started liking each other.

To me you are funny,Gabe, because you often make funny comments. So I was thinking about that sentence comically. Like the one in sitcoms.

Oh, thank u so much. That really means a lot to me, even though I really just try to say funny stuff because I'm bored. :) Thanks.

One of the reasons why this single forum is a nice place to visit is because of you, Nodmyheadlikeyeah, Hommer, and Nukepooch who are funny and often make me laugh. Perhaps you guys can make your own sitcom. It's just my opinion. :)

LOL thank you. Wow that is a great compliment. :) I am learning though that sometimes I might say things that offend people in some indirect way so I probably should tone it down some. It would be funny to do a sitcom with those guys hehe and you could be in it too. You could be the angel who picks up our spirits when we're feeling down :)

I am very loyal to my small family. I am currently looking after my grandmother's house and I'm trying my best to pay the bills and keep my brother/cousin (Grew up with the guy) and his girlfriend happy. And when it comes to me, I highly doubt any woman would want a sick boyfriend. :p Besides, being single makes it easier for me to serve others. It isn't just my brother I give too, but also my sisters.
Kooper, I think you're awesome and I can't believe any young lady in her right mind wouldn't be interested in someone like you.

Some days I think it's my fault that I'm single now. Others, it's because I'm not worth it. Who would want to date someone with such a rough past like mine? I'm a package deal. Not very many people can handle that. Someone once asked me why I get tattoos... it took me a while to figure out another reason for "Just because." I then realized that the reason I get them is I want someone to love me for me and not for what I look like. I could be totally inked out and they would still love me for the way I am on the inside... not for the way I look. I get a lot of people who only like me for my looks. Mainly my red hair. Once they find out how complicated my life is, then tend to drop me like yesterday's news and run the other way. Leaving pieces of me to clean back up.

I don't know (and I'm beginning to think) if God wants me to get married. The last relationship I was in I swore he was the one... but it just ended in tragedy.

To sum up a rant: I don't know.

Whyylow, my oldest stepsister had a child in her teens and she's told me that she felt exactly as you say you do here. She married a great christian guy in her 20s and they have been married a looooooooong time, have two beautiful girls (he raised the child she had before she married him as his own) and several grandchildren. The right guy is out there. Don't settle for less than God's best for you.

I totally get the "someone only liking you for your looks" thing. Some guys look at you as though you are no more than a Barbie doll put on the planet for their entertainment. It's worse if you're a redhead because there are a lot of guys who think there are bonus points for having a redhead on your scorecard. I know this because they've told me so. This makes me EXTREMELY cautious about dating anyone and it's exactly why I have to know them as a friend for a time and learn what sort of person they are before I will date them. It can be very frustrating.

You are smart, bright, you love the Lord, and you have a very special small blessing in your life as well. A child is the greatest blessing we will ever receive. :) hugs!
