Maybe there will be some single available guys there.
If churches were full of available single guys (that were worth having), CC singles would be a much less busy place. Not gonna hold my breath on that one. In all fairness, when I hear other people's stories I think I've either known more than my share of great single godly guys (and gone to their weddings) or else I have the effect on people that they don't dare not fake it around me.

No no no, you've got it backwards. You go to a new church for the single purpose of finding those guys. Flirt to convert, you know.
Oh is that how it works? And where do you go to church again Mr. Lynx? And thank you for explaining why I'm a convert making failure, apparently it's because I don't know how to flirt. :p

Cookies make me fat, so absence of cookies might be a plus. Speaking of cookies there are some in the freezer. I didn't bake any of them, I was just forced to move into this den of temptation.

Thanks for all the advice so far.
Some cookies are worth becoming fat from. Especially when they're fresh out of the oven and soft. Mmmm....
Then again, I'm eating sliced cheese at 12:45 in the morning, so you may want to take that with a grain of salt.

Oh, churches! I'd like to say that when I've found the church for me, I just know it. But, it's deeper than that. Theology matters, and preaching quality matters (ideally engaging and meaty). Atmosphere is a huge, huge thing for me - are the people open and engaging, or are they more closed off? Are they openminded and open to conversation, or are they more set in their ways?

Sorry, my church location is classified information. You require Alpha Epsilon or higher security clearance to access the requested data.

And I must admit I've never had personal experience with flirt to convert methods. But I've observed a lot of people - men and women - using it.

Sometimes it backfires though. One of our founding church members said when he was young he was a baptist, but he visited a pentecostal church to "get him a good pentecostal woman." Apparently the supply of good baptist women was running low in our area. But he wound up becoming a pentecostal. (And they did get married, he and his good pentecostal woman.)

So is that a warning to avoid Pentecostals? You just might end up becoming one yourself.
