Lol Zero a lot of these things aren't quite as serious as we pretend ...... like the socks with sandles.. while I do find that ugly, I wouldn't let that be a deciding factor for real

I agree. That's not serious. But the fact that they would DO such a thing shows a deep-seated moral decline...or something ;)

In all seriousness, Pipp has a great point about rejecting guys with socks and sandals. Men who refuse to listen to women who instruct them how to dress are not good catches. Men should always bow down to a woman’s superior intelligence when it comes to clothes. If a guy refuses to be dressed by me, I am not the woman for him. I ain’t marrying a man who wears blue with brown.

What in the world is the matter with blue and brown? And I don't know. If he has a good fashion sense of his own, I don't mind. My dad and most of my brothers would go out in purple and orange if not caught, so they have no problem being bossed on what to wear. But I do have two brothers who just have an eye for some of those things. Sometimes they're not the kind of thing I would pick for them, but they're quite striking. So if they just let a woman decide, they would actually not have as wide a range of outfits and expression. At the same time, I felt I had finally arrived to womanhood when the men of the house started asking me about matching their shirts and ties :D. So there is something good to be said on both sides, I guess.

I know we've had similar threads, but this one can be more laid back...

Lately I've found myself saying "I'd never date/marry someone who ________."

Like I said... you don't have to be too serious.. have fun. I'll start.

If you like to air your dirty laundry on social media... then I'm not the girl for you.

If you wear socks with flipflops... I'm not the girl for you.

If you don't have a sense of humor.... I'm not your girl.

If U r¡t3 Ur $3n+3n€$ l¡k3 +h¡s... I'm definitely not your girl.
If you don't like music, I'm not the girl for you.

If you can't cook (or not interested in learning), I'm not the girl for you.

If you snoar, I'm not the girl for you.

If you are into cats and dogs, I'm not the girl for you. I like them, but I'm allergic to them, that's why.

If you smoke, I'm not the girl for you.

If you think not keeping one's word is okay (or excusable), I'm definitely not the girl for you.

Haha...just realized I spelled "snore" incorrectly. I don't know where that came from...haha

Lol! Nothing at all is wrong with blue and brown. I meant black and brown, but had blue on the brain.

Some men do have fashion sense, but it seems like a very small percentage. I guess I model my own hopes after my grandparents’ marriage. My grandfather asked my grandmother if his clothes matched. One of the saddest things after her passing was his helplessness in asking us if his clothes matched (my mother, sisters, and I lived with my grandfather until he remarried).

Brown and blue are fine, but brown and black, NEVER.

OK. That makes sense now :D.

I heard a story about a guy who was absolutely clueless about clothing, so his wife laid out his clothes for him every time he needed to go somewhere. When it came time for her to go to the hospital to have her first baby she didn't have time to lay them out for him, so he came back from the fields and had to find something of his own and race to the hospital...and he showed up in one of HER blouses! Which I rather hope is an extreme situation, since I'd be very unhappy if my man was that inattentive to fashion :p
