I was in home economics class for about a week and got totally bored with it so I switched to woodworking class and made a round table and later when my daughter was big enough to get out of her crib made her a youth bed to sleep on with a cut out heart in the headboard that little bed was strong enough to hold both myself and my daughter as she sometimes wanted me to lay down with her at bed time.

Also because of that class the home I am in now I knocked out a wall and have done other demo projects taking tile off a bathroom wall around the tub and sink. I did hire professionals to put back together what I took out like the tile on the flooring and the ceiling after removal of the wall. Also removed the popcorn off my first floor ceilings and sanded and painted them and I love the smooth finish. So construction and building are usually thought of as a manly kind of thing to do...

I also would rather work outside mowing yards or working in a garden as opposed to cleaning a house...

Both my sons have been cooking since they were young and nobody could mistake them for anything but men. They're both hairy beasts. :sneaky:

I always have a sewing kit, and since I recently lost a lot of weight, I hemmed all my underwear. My grandmother taught me to sew.

“Hem Your Drawers” would make a good album name imo. Maybe a good song title, too. It could be both an inspiring ballad and a upbeat ditty, depending on the interpretation.

Ah! Thanks for giving me an idea for my next song! I can put it on the CD with grape eating dog, and other deep philosophical songs I've written.

I know that the title of this thread might be seen as a little controversial at first glance... which is one of the reasons why I chose "OutWrite Trouble" as my CC moniker. Every now and then, we might have a poster who just reads the title and comes in with spiritual guns blazing, all because they only read the title and not the actual post to know what the discussion was really about.

And... Why yes, folks, this is how exciting my life really is--that I can actually find something like that amusing.

So... Please make my life a little more exciting by contributing your thoughts (and skills) to this thread. :)

This is exactly what i was thinking when I first glanced on the title of this thread...I was like, "Kim...what have you written about this time?" And I was prepared to see what I was about to see...:sneaky:

When...Behold your disclaimer....:ROFL: And, I was taken aback and super embarrassed at the same time mad. Why? I didn't see this earlier! I should have posted a loong time ago...

Anyway, I absolutely love that about your threads. I mean, you're so creative....It's something that is need a lot these days.

My masculine side? Well, I love lifting heavy-weighted things. Usually, my brother and I argue who's the strongest and it turns out it's me :LOL:....well, as for now, that is. :sneaky:He's just 13 and well hasn't gained all those muscles just yet. Buuuut, as for now, it's good to be stronger. ;)I sometimes have to be careful the way I handle him when we do end up fighting a bit physically, lol. :giggle:

Anyway, my strength can get the best of me sometimes. But, I really did love helping my dad lift the mattresses up the stairs when we moved to our new house. I did most of the moving of my furniture in my room. And, I'm not talking about the little book frames and such. I had this rather large second-hand chess of drawers...very authentic...therefore, rather heavy-framed...anyway, i had a lot of fun moving that big thing around....but only ended up half-way through the room until i collapsed on the floor :sneaky:





(There's more...but, I can't think right now....When I come up with something.... I'll post)

Aw, thank you so much, Gracie.

I really can't take any credit though--anything I learned about writing things out came from God (of course :), people who were kind enough to answer my letters when I was growing up, patient teachers who gave me constructive feedback, and the prison inmates I wrote for several years who didn't hold anything back when it came to evaluating both my style and my character.

And, you've just inspired a new thread idea!!!

It will take me a little time (to try to put all the scrambled ideas I have floating around--it's like herding cats), but I promise I'll put something up soon. :)
