I've learned to read posts from people and imagining that I am conversing with them in a friendly fashion. Their tone of voice is kind and they are smiling when they are expressing themselves. This really helps a lot to keep from being offended. Of course I don't always and their are a few are just plain snippy. Lol
fyi. I don't smile. its not my nature.

No one said, "How dare you..."
No one implied, "How dare you..."

I merely (accurately) pointed out that the word has a "fuzzy" meaning. And it does.

However, I find it fascinating that when a contrary view is presented, you presume "offense" and go on to presume that someone vague group of women is out to silence the men. It's a rather binary view of the world to presume that you should speak and all will agree OR you will be silenced. There is room for discourse about topics.
Whatever.... of course a thread about my own personal opinion is going to be full of "my own personal opinion" .. Which is correct by the way :)

Smiling is a gift from God. It actually helps in the production of good chemicals in your brain. Why would a christian not smile? It is a byproduct of a grateful heart. Forgive me if your face is paralyzed for some reason.

Ironically....when we choose to think the best of another person it benefits us. It's Jesus prescription to bring joy into our lives....I think. I don't always accomplish it but am improving. Lol

Some call it "The power of positive intent". It goes like this....no matter what a person says to you there is an intention behind it that is good. If we can find that.... we can step into another persons sacred ground.

How dare someone use the term "traditional" ...

Which goes back to my original point in making this thread ...even the term "traditional" offends some women of this "Christian" forum ... :(
How dare you suggest I said how dare... you... uh-oh. I just said it, didn't I? :p heehee!!

Just joking, dear brother!

Traditional sounds conformist.

Please no. I don't want a white fence.
What's a conformist?

From what I understand, conformity can be great in the right context. What's your definition of a conformist or conformity?

They want someone 30 with the values of a 65-year-old.

They never once consider looking for a 65-year-old themselves. :)
???
That would be older than my mum :D
LOL

Can't you guys just drop the labels and just look for a girl who you like? Stop with the "traditional" or "radical" or whatever... :)

It will get easier... :)

Nah....we want to be insecure in ourselves and then try to mold someone into our own image. Lol

By the way I have tried to let this thread die about 3 times now..but folks keep giving it life?

I just started it because of all the attacks on the humble traditional guys that was being made my the proud and mean modern gals on the forum. :(
