Your idea will work some what, but as soon as a few singles tie the knot, a whole batch of new singles come in, and fill the gap. Then, we are right back, where we are started from. It's a endless cycle. Wash, rinse, and repeat.

Although, I would like to see this experiment in action, just for the sake of watching a science experiment. We could all take notes, than draw conclusions, form a hypothesis, and possibly get the first ever Christian Chat Nobel Peace Prize. That would be the step in the right direction of getting our well deserved new forum.

I dont know was never that good at science

I mean matchmakers forum splits off from the lounge, which is still the singles area
sort of like a mezzanine floor, rather than open plan like it is currently

The thought of a virtual hug just doesn't cut it for me. My lap-top doesn't look very cuddly.

BUT we haven't worn mask round here for MONTHS....
(well, very few round here still do)

That's good to hear. Walmart ended mask mandates on April 1st, it was like a birthday present.

See, now I think it really shouldn't be a "lounge" forum.

Instead it should be a Pullman car forum. A Pullman car is a train car like you ride on a commuter rail. Where you can talk to your seat buddy.

Believe it or not your average loaf of sandwich bread was developed for a Pullman car. It was extra classy bread for the day. Super soft and airy...it was like eating angel food cake for sandwiches.

Today we just call it sandwich bread.

But originally it measured 4"x4" square. So more loaves could stack in the cabinet made for holding bread....and space was a premium commodity on a train car galley.

I never understood why so many american movies showed food fights

where I come from, throwing food would be sacrilege!

Then I found out, in Spain that there is an entire day devoted to throwing to tomatoes in a town called Bunol in Valencia.

I've been involved in a few food-fights, but I'm old and decrepit and if I did something like that nowadays, they might put me in a home! This sucks, man! I can't believe I'm old! And please don't tell me that I'm only as old as I feel...I've seen some in their 80s that are younger than me! I probably feel 105, physically, that is! I'm the old man down the road! "Stay off my grass!" Lol

so is it only young people that can food fight, is that what you are saying?

I am sure you could throw a tomato if you wanted to (in Spain) and it would be allowed...I didnt see any age limit
