What would be a topic that there is not a forum for already?
Beside for people to have fun with imagining being in lounge.

I suggested a friends forum but not many people were interested :-(

Or changing the 'christian singles forum' and renaming it 'christian friends forum' but as per usual, nothing changed. I dont think the mods like changing things here.

seems silly, cos talking bout being single gets a bit boring after a while I agree

The Lounge Forum will be an oasis for those who like a more casual family oriented topics. No need to dress up, just show up in your pajamas, and just sit in a recliner. It will be a meeting room for all walks of life, not just those begging to get married.
.
But... That's exactly what the singles forum is.

At the end of the day you are talking to the wrong audience. You should be talking to a moderator, or better yet the owner.

See singles forum as a friendly place that single people post things that can help others.
I learned a few things from reading past and current post.

I agree with that. So I am single and want to not talk about single. I just find another forum topic I like. Married people might also post helpful info hear to. Some post here might not be on relationship. These topics might help others to feel comfortable here and lean some thing about other single. For example , Lynx is a smart and has a great sense of humor. I like his post all over the forums. Maybe a women see this as good person to get to know. Maybe this women just likes being around others that think like her and happen to be single too. As for as I can tell Lynx is not "begging" for women to marry him. Sorry dude .

Singles Forum seems like it's for singles, no? What about others? Many people might excluded from the fun and games.

I disagree, single people are totally in the Lounge in the chat forum, so their input is important. Plus, this is the forum, that I normally chat in, so it's a great place to start. Also, a moderator approved the thread, so exposure to moderation has already been done, and possibly they could post, and provide some insight.

Absolutely. A Lounge Forum could be a meeting place that forum users could meet to get a break from some of the animosity, they get from the other forums. Cough...Cough...Bible Study Forum...Cough...Cough..and etc.

A Lounge Forum could bring all Forum users in and bring a sense of community.

I know Lynx isn't looking for relationships, been here a little longer than you brother, but others might be a little more interested in relationships in the singles forum, than fellowship.

The question I had was directed at your idea not mine.
Yes I can think of topics.
The Lounge Room in chat is one of the most popular rooms, so it serves a purpose. I believe it could do the same in the forums.

More reasons that a Lounge Forum should be seriously discussed.

Still not answering question I asked (no need to answer my ). Now trying to make it personal? Not sure were you are coming from by saying this statement. Maybe You can rewrite it to explain better. Seem this "been here a little longer than you brother" is some sort of an accusation cloaked with "brother" to imply that it is just a loving brotherly Christian response" IS that right?

What statement did you not like, about what I put in my post that I may try to clarify. This seems to be not about what positive comment I said about Lynx. More like you think and/or feel I am against your Idea of a Lounge by me asking " What would be a topic that there is not a forum for already? referring back to my question about a lounge.

The response was directed to your statement in the other post. Lynx has been very vocal about not seeking relationships, as well as myself.

I'm thinking the Christian Family Forum is probably the closest thing to the Lounge, but topics in the Christian Family forum seem more family issues, rather than hanging out, and fellowshipping. Conclusion, the Lounge Forum certainly should be considered.

You referring to this post?

i think some thing in here in my say some thing about lynx wanting a wife? Here is the statement. "For example , Lynx is a smart and has a great sense of humor. I like his post all over the forums. Maybe a women see this as good person to get to know. Maybe this women just likes being around others that think like her and happen to be single too. As for as I can tell Lynx is not "begging" for women to marry him. Sorry dude ." so I bolded the part I think you are taking abjection to. I misspelt "far". It is not stated anything about Lynx wanting to or not wanting to get married. Maybe you missed something like the word "not" . Did not point out want part of my post you had issues with. Seem you read it as Lynx is begging for women to marry him. The "sorry dude" is maybe what you have issue with. That could be worded better. Sorry Lynx that I used you as example, hope you do not mind. If you did not like me saying positive stuff about you or have issues with my post let me know.

Still did not answer my question with this post? You only concluded that you are right about your Lounge idea.
Let me ask my question in a different way. You want a Lounge forum in the list of forums were anyone can post on topic that are not covered under an existing forum?

Personally, if it is wanted and will garner foot traffic then I would hope those likeminded could get what they want. As far as me I would not be interested or would even visit it. I have only visited three forums in my short time here as the others hold no appeal to me.

In fact a lot of what you cited as negatives is exactly why this is my most visited forum as well as the one I reply in. I don't mind all the relationship stuff because everything we will ever want or need is owned or controlled by another person. So relationships in general of every kind is utmost important. So I like the topics that shows how other individuals formulate their beliefs and logic. I also rather enjoy that for the most part is also single folks since I can relate to their circumstances and how they derive at their decisions or choices then articulate for me to read.

However, have no clue of the protocols for a new forum, I do want to wish you an others who may have that interest best of luck as to getting one.
