Sounds rough. You can always buy a portable unit at Home Depot or something, to get you by. Maybe a large fan?

Sitting in front of one that does an ice water thingy and an oscillating fan now....Coffee tasting is over . (We have a few new addicts for our products)

But yeah...got a call into maintenance...hopefully they will recharge the system and get us some relief.

Brioche and Mallorca were a big hit...so were the cookies. The sausage now has some new addicts. It's not a unique flavor...but just an addicting one as the fresh sage and fine grind black pepper really makes a difference....and the use of real meat.

That's pretty cool that you are a writer. Keep at it.

I went to yur website and it's a blog, was hoping to read a portion of your book. So sad! lol

We might have similar humor, now I'm worried that I'm a writer now. lol What's funny is that I did try to write a book a couple years back, but it came out like a diary, or something. Oh well, not gonna worry about it.

You writing a new book soon?
Ah yes, I was thinking about creating a 'Published' page on there so people could get a sneak peak... how about this link where it's on Amazon? It's more of a middle-grade/children's short story, so chapters are really short... but I think they'll show the first page or two...
The Official Link!

Haha. There are so many 'you know you're a writer if you -fill in blank-' memes.

Oh that's so cool! Some people write stories in diary form. What was it about, if I may ask?
I'm hoping to get a middle grade novella published sometime this year. I just sent it off to a beta reader.

Glad it's working out for you John.

When do you think the coffee shop will have the grand opening?

I smell a CC meet up, but it just might be someone's feet. Not sure. lol

That's pretty cool. Congratulations. That is quite accomplishment.

You just might be the next bit time author?!?!

You want to know what my top secret book/diary was about?

lol Uhhh. It was just life lessons, but I wrote it on my old computer, and my old computer blue screened Windows 7 style. So, the world will never know what my head contains. It will be a lost pirate treasure, that only an I.T. professional may unlock the secrets.

Maybe my old computer was trying to upgrade to Windows XP?!?! I'm thinking about loading Windows XP on my old computer, because I really liked that operating system. Strange I know, it was almost as reliable as Windows 3.1.

October sometime I hope....if things go smoothly.

If we can get a lease.

The landlord doesn't want to pay realtor commissions in a timely manner. There's a whole brewhaha going over that. It's the funkiest thing I've ever heard of.

No joke! XP rocked.

Of course as a gamer I never could think of it as anything other than "Windows eXperience Points." But it was still the most solid system they ever put out. Maybe they got enough XP to level up.

Aww, thanks so much! That's really sweet of you to say so. Haha, maybe I'll become famous like J.K Rowling ;)

*Gasp* I'm so sorry your computer did that! We had an old computer that we stored family photos and memories on, then one day it just crashed and took everything with it. (Yeah, we don't speak about it lol.)

Oh cool, I've never tried the Windows operating system before. I hope it works if you upload the XP version.
I like the idea of a book filled with life lessons. Kinda like a memoir of sorts? I'm sorry the computer took it all away.

Anyway, how has your weekend been, if I may ask?

I am sure that girl is Greta Thunberg

I was reading a book about her that she quit I mean strike from school to bring attention to climate change

I am not sure how effective that would have been in my country

I do know that, single use plastic bags got banned. After years of petitioning

But yea, children under 18 ought to have a say on the things that affect them and they are right to be concerned about pollution and ecosystem degradation and things have gotten worse. They now live in a scary world where nothing is certain anymore, but then has it ever been clean? How can it be that everytime a human touches something of Gods creation, we destroy it?

Jacques Costeau may have opened peoples eyes to the wonder of the undersea world, but at the same time, his research was being funded by big oil drilling companies keen to exploit it and not care if they ruined it.

No way?!?! What's your favorite song on the musical soundtrack?

So, what do you like better, the book, or movie?

Its a hard knock life...or Little Girls

well I saw the movie first then read the book, so its hard to say...the movie stuck very close to the book and the book is a great story, simple enough for a child to read.

If you talking about the first movie made of it, I havent seen the updated version. And it did explain what the Depression was. It was very hard for people living through all that in the US, which was the mythical 'land of plenty'

Tell that to the dustbowl farmers in the 1920s and 30s.

I also can imagine how hard life is in NYC. Having been there and seen it, it can be overwheming to see so much poverty in contrast to so much riches.

The local intermediate made a production of it (was originally a broadway play/musical) and I had to buy the book so children could read it, they kinda think movies and plays ideas just come out of nowhere...no, all good stories were mostly written down and published as a book first.

Thats what the process of adaption is.

So, any updates on the video games? Same old games, or new ones? Yeah, that singles life, sure is rough!?!? lol

I'm playing Battlefield and Team Fortress 2. It's a good mix up. One serious and one funny.

Hey video games are all I've got. Somebody has to stay with Grandma at all times. It's either video games or watch her reruns of The Price is Right from the 1980s.

So yeah, single life can be rough. Everybody else has a family and doesn't have any time to stay with grandma, except for maybe an hour or two while I go to the store.

I dont play games, or have any video games

Not sure what the appeal is, I get bored of them very easily. I would rather do a jigsaw puzzle than play a video game.

Depends on the person and the kind of game.

I play games with good stories. It's like reading a book, but you can wander around in the book setting and talk to the characters and hear their backstories. Or not, if you don't want to.

My best friend plays games as a kind of social life. He's pretty awkward in person, so a social life in a multiplayer online game is a lot easier for him.

There are many other reasons, of course. Some play it as a matter of pride: "I beat STALKER with only a pistol, so I'm the best!" Dark Souls and all its clones are for those people.
