martial arts isnt about machismo tho, I think wrestling or boxing or rodeo or bull fighting is more that kind of thing.

Still, I dunno, some staff were like wow good for you!
Others were like quietly going, if he was in REAL brawl, and not a staged fight, he wouldnt have lasted 2 seconds

He showed us this fuzzy clip from his phone, he wás in some kind of ring and they had a round and all I could see was 2 guys in lot of padded clothes. lol

It wasnt like a pillow fight or anything.

The guy may have self-esteem issues and compensates for his attempts at proving his manliness.

I dont think Martial arts gives you self esteem
Its just a way of fighting without any (expensive) weapons.

I did tai chi which is one kind of martial art, but not for self esteem it more as a form of relaxation. Though you are meant to do it in groups and its quite beautiful to see it choreographed .

I am not sure why he was so happy and boasting how he 'wasted' his opponent but then this guy is young so, doesnt really know any better. He didnt really know what Motown was. I think hes a teacher aide because hes a bit slow himself?!
I mean I talk to him but sometimes have to humour him, cos hes more like a boy than a man.

A lot of men act like boys
Just as fully grown women can act like girls. Boys and girls often like to boast at how strong or pretty they are for approval I guess.

Motown..,the teachers decided that their social thing would be a motown concert and this guy hadnt heard of them lol

But then, I had one teacher who had never heard of the song RESPECT.

She also thought 50 shades of grey was a great book and had I read it? lol

I wonder what that was like? That was a big thing, the music of Motown.
But then the car industry collapsed didnt it? And they never got it back, like it lost its mojo.

When I was finished with high school, I tried to get a job in the auto industry. Unfortunately, there was a lot of nepotism. If you didn't have family already working in the auto facilities, it was hard to get your foot in the door.

Eventually, I joined the Army. Afterwards, 4 or 5 years later when my service ended, the whole industry collapsed and a lot of other jobs that were related crashed too. With the economy in shambles, I left Michigan for good and left for Florida. Most of my family had already relocated there previously. Much better economic climate in Florida.

is it cos NASA is based there?
Or Disney World

or both lol.
Thats a long way to go for you, what about all the states in between? They didnt get a look in? Or were their economies no good as well. I sometimes have to remember in the US, the states can be like different countries.

For NZers if ppl cant find jobs here they move to Australia. More people, more jobs I guess.

NASA, Walt Disney World, Universal Studios, Sea World and other attractions, absolutely fire up the economy as the tourists are spending money on other things as well and that creates jobs. One thing leads to another, the jobs created by servicing the tourists create other jobs to provide goods and services to other businesses. As for the other states in between, that is one reason we relocated to Tennessee. It is closer to my daughter and grandkids in Michigan and my remaining family in Florida.

This -- restraining my tongue here -- "dude" put me on ignore as well, all because I pointed out some scriptural references that challenged his assertions on something. That was all I did, and BOOM! He textually yells and says "you're on ignore!" No answer, no questions, nothing in the form of discussion came from him. That was his only response.

The man, in my opinion, is very immature. He writes poorly, has said some bizarre things about "pleasing women", and puts people on ignore with the slightest of provocations.

No loss on this end.
