The other day someone told me: "i have the perfect husband for you, he is succesful in his job and he has your age, he has a few problems because her mother hits him and she is and alcoholic and this guy is not christian but you can change him and then marry him"

And time ago a "friend" from my job told me "you better start sleeping with this guy before he goes away"

And 2 weeks ago someone introduced me "the perfect husband" and started moving his hands as if he was sending "arrows of love" to this guy and me.....

"You need a boyfriend to make your parents happy."

To which I reply, ""
a boyfriend isn't something you get to make your parents happy. A boyfriend is something you get to make your big brother mad.

Someone asked me how long I've been single for.

I stated "For three years now"

The person declared "Well, some things only change through prayer and fasting"

I responded "It was prayer and fasting that enabled me to stay single this long" - lol.

hmm.. embarrassing? actually all my friends, family are so happy now that i'm single.

they cheer me like this, "you're better off without him" and i say, "I know right!" haha

Right attitude should be: Single stay happy always for you are with Christ. :) He alone can satisfy our needs. ;)

I guess for me, and this happened much more in my 20's, I sometimes would have these married couples try to direct me to singles groups as if I was in a different caliber than them....drove me up the wall!! Also, I used to get the comment, "how come you aren't married???" So annoying!!!

Nothing embarrassing or funny (IMO), but my nearly-perpetual singleness has one more than one occasion make people wonder if I was gay. Actually, I got more strange looks back when I had a girlfriend.

Not so much to me, but my 2 Best friends, from 25 years ago Darryl W. and his wife Debra, always invited me to their house because the single life is tough for a single Christian in a US Army Barrack.

I remember a couple of times on weekends when we when to Frankfurt, Germany which was about 40 km, from our post; and he would tell his wife now look don't get angry at me for looking at women, I just trying to help JJ, find a girl. I tell you some married man put it all on the line for a friend.

Over the years my parents and friends have tried to pair me up with so many different guys, from the local grocery guy to a paramedic wheeling out a relative on a stretcher.

But the best was when my 6 year old nephew realized I wasn't married. He was upset until he thought of what I should do, he said confidently, " I know who you should date, Batman!"

I decided he's right. I'm waiting for Batman.

Ya'll be waitin a loooong time! Batman's mine! ;P

You should totally make up answers to those questions:

"So.. where's your wife?" She's out back changing my tire
"Is your Wife with you?" Yeah, she's right there...OOH NO! She must have fallen out of the car again...brb
"You must have a wonderful wife!" She's great! I'd recommend that mail order thing to anyone. You just add water!
"So how long have you been Married?" Just a few hours. It's kinda boring, but the cake was amazing.
"How many kids do you have?" 3.5

giggles for quite a while & will probs laugh again in the supermarket later & get funny looks

The humorous thing is that not every guy that enjoys working with kids wants to have his own. My mom made that assumption about my dad, and ended up surprised. He enjoyed working with kids, but didn't want his own. With other people's kids he could deal with them for a while, then hand them back.

haha there was a girl who worked for us a couple of years ago with that same view she could work with kids (who is now a teacher) but didnt want any of her own. Which until that point i had never met any female who didnt want kids haha but yeah she didnt want kids around her 24/7.
For me i do want to have kids but those assumptions are very amsuing from other peoples perspective and how peoples brain works hahaha

Uhmm... Yesterday me and my mom went to eat at her friend's resto. I was having a blast until my mom and her friend started setting me up with his son. She called his son to have a look at me and said" This is my son. He's still single and available. And he's also a christian and serves in the ministry. And don't worry I still have plenty of nephews whom I would like to set up with you." I was just all smiles and uttered nothing. I was really speechlessI really want to disappear at that time and hide at my mom's back. o.o And my mom had to mention that I'm still "NO BOYFRIEND SINCE BIRTH(NBSB).
