Other than the obvious answers of Christ's grace and mercy, as well as His Word...

1. Oxygen - pretty sure I can't live without that
2. Water - after a couple of days, I'm fairly certain I'd die lacking this
3. Food - not 100% sure, but I think people die when they don't eat
4. Gravity - not being pulled downward would eventually deprive me of item #1
5. Bacon - om nom nom nom nom

You totally stole my answers!! Dang it! Well, maybe I'll just change my number 5 to....to.....sunshine. Yeah. I like sunshine a lot. Vitamin D, baby!!! Or maybe I should make number 5 my daughter, which would make total sense since I sometimes miss her while she's taking a nap. XD

Besides some of the obvious, like family and friends...

1. Prayer. Maybe I'm just a chatterbox, but I have to be able to talk to God. About everything.

2. Color. Forget 50 Shades of Grey (which I haven't read, for obvious reasons), my parents can decorate everything in 50 Shades of Beige. But not me. I. Have. To. Have. Color. Bright jewel tones, please. I check out books on flower arranging (though I've never tried it) just for the pictures and color.

3. New experiences and places. It can be exotic as Paris or as simple as last week--going to Baskin Robbins and ordering a Grape Sherbet waffle cone. :D

4. Learning about new things, places, and people. About the only books I read or TV I watch these days are things that show you how to do something (even if I never intend to knit that scarf) or places I only wish I could be (Hello Bavaria!)

5. Deep conversations with someone I feel comfortable with. Tough to find, but worth every second of time invested into the relationship.

And sorry, just to add this in as a Bonus: Words of Affirmation, whether those I hear or those I give, and always out of sincerity only, please. :)

This reminded me of a Buffy the Vampire Slayer episode where Drucilla tries to feed Spike a puppy named Sunshine. I looked for a clip on youtube, but I couldn't find one.

I'm not saying you're like Drucilla per say... Well, actually... :p

This reminds me of that "Assuming there aren't any people in danger, if your house were on fire what would you save" question. I spent quite a while last year trying to come up with an answer. I couldn't. There were some things I'd like to keep, but nothing really stood out, no matter how I looked at it. In terms of money, time, sentiment, practicality... everything seemed so... unnecessary. I'd probably feel a little differently if my house actually burned down though. :D

I have friends whose home burned down with everything in it. I asked them if it was hard to lose all of their possessions. They said no - after nearly losing their lives they had absolutely no regrets about anything they lost in the fire. I keep all of our important papers and documents in one place, and I always hoped that in the event of a fire I'd be able to get those things out, but I know that probably I won't care a twig about them when it comes right down to it.

You and I are on the same wavelength far too often. One of these times that I'm gone for a week, I'll come back and you'll have responded to a bunch of threads the way that I would have, and then we'll be even. ^_-

By the way, Shouryu. How are you going with your potential lady friend? :)

Hey, Wonder from Down Under! Good to see ya!

I just posted this in the Streams thread:

Daaah well. Spoke too soon.

Mia texted me tonight and dropped the f-bomb. But that's okay, I was excited at the prospect, I suppose, but in the end...meh. And I'm perfectly content with friendship. Truth be told, I'm not good at moving fast, so who knows? A few more months of friendship could change things. Or not.

But if you all recall, I did keep telling you guys she was out of my league. ^_-
Overall, I'm fairly "meh" about it all. I'm still thankful to have a Christian friend working nearby. ^_^

I was so just about to fake post as you and most likely stick my foot in my mouth by mentioning Mia and students and then probably throw in a Buffy reference or two. But then I saw the post about the f-bomb and was glad I waited. Sooooo really this post is useless. Yep. I'll just be over here...not sleeping.

Hi mate, I'm good, thanks.

The friend-zone, eh? Bummer. I feel for you, I really do. Hopefully something more comes of the friendship. Whereever the Lord leads, as Green would say. Thanks for letting me know. :)

-My phone. Because....it's my phone and I need it.

-My computer. That's where I read blogs, the news, communicate with family & friends in Mexico, listen to music, and play games :).

-My Bible. Sometimes I wonder what would I do if I was stranded in a lonely island without a Bible. Hopefully I could remember what it says, but having it with me would be really really helpful.

-People. Especially people with whom I can have good conversations. Though I like having time for myself, even for a few days and although sometimes I'm tired of some annoying humans...I will need them eventually.

-A good book, but not just a book but a book that will captivate you from page one to the last page, to the point where you wish it would never have an end. Nothing like a good story :)

I think both the Bible and books can be listed under the same dot-point. :)

Maybe you're right, but I felt the need to make a distinction because even though the Bible is a book, I consider other books more like.... just sources of entertainment. Not that the Bible is not entertaining but...you know what I'm saying :).

Want me to fly to Texas and punch her? I'll do it. And then you and I can go meet Cat! It sounds like a fun road trip to me.

Dude....I could totally play Dru!!!

There was a point that I actually had a Scoobie gang. But I played dual roles. Sometimes I was Willow, but most of the time I was Buffy.

Does this make us arch enemies?
