Nose rings are fine, it's the septum piercings that get me.

I don't like them on me personally. Although, a few women look nice with them, I think.

I've had my nose pierced twice. The first piercing met an unfortunate end within 2 weeks when roughhousing with my younger cousins during college break. One ended up ripping it right off my face. Luckily, no real lasting harm or scar. I couldn't get it back in so I left it alone.

A couple of years later, I tried again and had it pierced again. This time my body ended up rejecting it after a few days. I've since given up. I don't even have a mark as a memory, just pictures.

Needless to say, I don't mind nose rings.

With all this talk about hair and earrings and noses (nose hair, specifically), I was wondering what you all think about nose rings for women?

I was reading about Isaac and Rebekah and the nose ring (Genesis 24:30) and I was wondering about people's perception of it. I am Asian and where I live, there are always women with nose rings, some of them very intricately designed.

Would you wear a nose ring?
Why and why not?
That is by far the most beautiful nose ring I've ever seen..

..and umm I don't know what a septum is and I'm too afraid to ask..

I would be afraid for anyone to punch a hole through my nose! The only reason I have my ears pierced is because I was about 8 months old when they did them. :p

I don't know what's going on in that photo, but I don't mind nose rings or any other piercing. Some girls have that look and they can pull it off and some can't.

Wasn't jewellery in the bible a cultural sign of ownership, so if a man gave a woman a nose ring he
owned her etc.

Or slaves if they did not want to be set free on the year of jubilee then there masters could
pierce their ear on the door post as a sign they were to be a slave forever.

I wear earrings, a watch and the occasional ring but other kinds of body piercing are a bit
extreme.

I know a few people who have had their tongue pierced, one chipped all their teeth
with it. Another had to have it removed due to a severe infection which occurred.

Ha ha, its that bit in your nose which divides your nostrils and which gets damaged by cocaine
snorting so you end up with one big nostril.

Not that I know much about cocaine, I just saw a programme on TV.
