After reevaluating my choices in men I realized I was chasing te wrong guys.
Women are frequently choosing the wrong guy. Women like drama. They like an edgy "bad boy" because it is so not boring. The "great husband" type are boring and predictable. The boring predictable guy will always come home to you every night. The bad boy might.

Not me! Passion for The Lord, semi-stable finances, and Firefly paraphernalia are what I'm looking for. Someone not whiny or judgey who has his crap together and kinda thinks I'm awesome. No bad boy for me, please. I already have one son to raise, don't need another.

YES Misty - a good steady guy who loves God AND Firefly?? Are he out there somewhere?

My last on-line profile actually said, "No 'bad boys' please." A rebellious spirit is the cause of so much grief.

Firefly, as in the awesome sci-fi/western TV series by Joss Whedon?

Tintin, you've got so much going for you. Sci-fi, C.S. Lewis, an Aussie accent, spiritually mature, and you know who Joss Whedon is... Plus you look like you may be wearing an apron which means you also cook. If you were in the U.S. you wouldn't be single for long. :)

Aw, thanks, Grace! I'm not the most confident of guys, but God and I are working on that one. And yes, I can cook, but only main courses at this stage.

I can cook side dishes involving green beans. PERFECT.

If you are jealous then something is wrong.
So you're saying that you were wrong for being jealous? Or that you had a reason for being jealous but should have just broken up with the person rather than be jealous? Or continued to be with the person and fought your jealousy? To me jealousy is a red flag that something is wrong, but that something doesn't necessarily have to be yourself.

I thought that actually made sense.

Wow Tintin!! How's your backstroke?
I don't swim in beans, if that's what you mean. I'm not the best swimmer but I can swim in water. Maybe this is an Americanism I'm not picking up on?

Hey Tintin - no, I was thinking you could swim to Texas and see if GraceLikeRain could do dinner? (Be a real let-down if she said no after all that though. Maybe you should just stay where you are.)

Concerning Cheetah. Yes, as Jullianne pointed out, Cheetah was the chimp star of several Tarzan movies with Johnnie Weissmuller. These movies were made in 1930's and later after the movies were discontinued Johnnie made a sanctuary for him at his home. Anyway Johnnie died in the 60's and Cheetah lived to be 80 years old! He died in 2011.

Cheetah obituary said he was a well mannered little fella and got along well with others. He had the disagreeable practice of throwing feces, but other than that he was considered a top drawer chimp.

Haha! No wonder I'm single, I can't carry on/understand a normal Internet conversation.

Thanks, Grace. You're very kind. :)

Hi KJV.
I'm not sure what you need to apologise for, since I find you one of the more agreeable people here at CC and I don't remember being offended by you, but thanks. I forgive you.

Well, thanks for that but there is more. When I was talking to Ugly and said that we all need direction, I was referring to direction from other loving Christians. I was confused about your Parker Brothers comment. It finally hit me that you were referring to the Ouija board, as if looking for direction from a Ouija board. That was very cleaver and made me laugh. See, the confusion is not just on your side of the ocean.

By the way, I love Midnight Oil. I thought it was great that the lead singer ran for Parliament. His platform was helping the Aborigine people. What has come of him?

Haha! No worries, mate. I'm not a poor speller but Ouija board is one of those words I struggle with, so I just called it a Weegee board, or something similar. Because that's how you pronounce it, right? Silly words! I'm glad I could make you laugh. :)

I don't actually know what's to become of Peter Garrett. He decided he wouldn't be up for reelection this year and I've heard he may return to his first passion - music. Possibly we'll see a resurgence of Midnight Oil.
