Vote yes all you want, but as stated previously, this isn't the way to go about things on this site. Robo views the needs of the site and make determinations as to what what things he will/won't put into action. A couple people putting their collective demand in doesn't necessarily equate to Robo jumping and doing what he's told.
Also his time/cost weighs into decisions as well as things that may be bigger priorities.
Lastly, again, this idea is nothing new. I still say no because i disagree with the approach being taken. If the OP has a request then he should go about it the correct way, post a suggestion in the Suggestions area, not petitioning people to pressure for his demands in the Singles area.
I'm not understanding what makes him think his suggestion so important or makes him believe he's so special that he feels privileged to not be bound by the same expectations on such matters as other people on the site are.
So no, no and no. That's my vote. The end.
Should it have been posted in Suggestions? Probably. But, there is nothing wrong with the idea(even if it's not ''new''). I'm sure if RoboOp or any of the moderators take issue with this, they can address/move it themselves(which as the rules state, let the moderators moderate). Perhaps you misunderstood some of the wording, but like Sofia said, there were no demands being made here. Nobody is telling RoboOp to ''jump and do as he's told.'' This is simply people agreeing on something they would like to see for the benefit of their brothers in Christ and make a request for if enough people are interested. I'm sure Shawn has every intention to private message RoboOp to make his suggestion, but there is certainly nothing wrong in seeing if there is any mutual interest first, which is what the real point of this thread was.

Whether or not it happens won't be the determining factor if I stay or not. I just know people that may not be well acquainted with a church, might benefit from something like this when they need to talk. As far as pm, there's a lot of people that don't like messaging strangers. So your answer to that, might not be helpful. As regards to it being a public forum, that's not entirely true. Women can't see it. If it's a men's only forum, then yes, there would be stuff that is private, just like there is stuff women are discussing that are private. You can vote no all you want, but it won't change the fact like something like this could benefit people. WWhether Robo wants to create one or even look into it, is a different story. It's something that won't make or break the site, but like I said, can certainly help.
