Why do you say that? I think a male "forum" would be a good idea. I just expressed my view that it needs to be a "written" venue, not a "voice" one.
We got a little sidetracked with the real time chat room, I think. I'm all for a men's forum also.

I absolutely think there should be a "male forum". First of all Women have one so why not? Second, being in the male ministry chatroom 24/7 would not just work. Men need to be able to chat without being on here 24/7. As far as I know those rooms are hardly used anyway. I also think this is a good spot to start this so people know there actually is not a "male forum" and then with a group of supporters and guys wanting this we can go and ask for it from the administrators. This is not a demand if you think that. This is a request and like Shawn posted a win win for all. :)

Yeah, I concur, absolutely, some threads would be better off there.

I agree with what you're saying on the written venue.

The thing is my experience indicates that a mens sub forum will flame out. It would be nice if guys posted in the mens discussion group about things other than touching themselves. Those of us who don't make that the sole focus in our lives got bored of it pretty quickly. I still check on it occasionally, to see if there's a guy in there struggling, but it's dead.

I'm waiting for a few guys to actually post in there, maybe we could get a nice discussion going, and then when someone comes in there asking difficult questions, a group of spiritually healthy guys can help answer those questions, at which point said individual joins the group of spiritually healthy posters.

A man can dream right?

It's in my signature.... I thought I made that clear like... early on

It's always been in my signature...

I asked for moderator approval before starting that group.. we've had almost no traction.

Sorry.... I do remember you saying something about your signature... but I have all Signatures turned off. (some get too carried away.)

I just went and tried to look at it, but it says you have to join and be approved first. That could be why you've had few takers.

I approve people pretty quickly..

That was literally just to keep the women out. We had a few try to get in at first... it was awkward.

One even said she was a man trapped in a woman's body.

I must say again though. A men forum would be much easier to find and use then this group thing since it seems that hardly no one knows it exists and that they have to send in to be aproved. In the forum men could come and go as they please and post what is on their minds/hearts and get responses from not only people in the group but all guys of cc :) Just an fyi I wanted to put in ^_^

Yeah, and here I wore a suit and everything...

But Servant still wouldn't approve me.

Harumph.

A suit, you said? You might should be going for a lumber jacket and a worn out hat instead, a suit will just make them suspicious of you;)...jk lol

There is already a men's private chat group.

We don't petition our demands on this site. We make requests. If the site owner decides it's necessary he will add it. If not he won't.

This is is not the appropriate section to ask for such requests. We have a suggestions area where we can post our ideas or suggestions (not demands).

Many Christian sites have no, or dead, men's areas. Which I'm presuming is the reason why there isn't one here either.

This is not a new request anyways.

Are you, OP, a paying member of this site to try and pressure the owner into giving you what you expect of him?
No one is in here 24/7, though. So it's almost impossible to talk to another men privately. All you have are public forums that get too detailed very quicykl, that I've even seen you comment on and say needs to be removed immediately. If women have one, only logical for men to s well. Since the purpose of this life is to fellowship. How can one fellowship to his best ability if he is struggling and needs private insight? I vote yes.

Pretty much my feelings. Joining a "group" means that you are then subject to not only the forum rules, but (just as most churches have done) you are also required to meet the personal biased standards and rules of the group owner.

I keep telling you Kim, you're not going to find any victims, I mean dates, there. Nobody uses it.

Maybe some groups, but honestly that sounds a bit extreme. Until I was on CC, I never met so many Christians with so many rules and requirements.

Before that I thought most Christians could get along. Except when there's some serious heresy like say, non-trinitarianism etc.

All you have are public forums that get too detailed very quicykl, the OP is requesting a Public mens only Forum. See that, public forum? So there is still every chance it will derail.
that I've even seen you comment on and say needs to be removed immediately. If you are referring to the 'white knight' thread i would have said the same thing in a 'mens only' forum, because it was a disgusting post to read on many levels.
If women have one, only logical for men to s well. Logic is great when it applies. But i've been on many Christian forum sites and in every single case the Mens section was dead. And the 10 threads or so men created, over the course of a few years, were mostly about cars and sports and not anything 'personal' anyways.
Since the purpose of this life is to fellowship. How can one fellowship to his best ability if he is struggling and needs private insight? I vote yes.
Vote yes all you want, but as stated previously, this isn't the way to go about things on this site. Robo views the needs of the site and make determinations as to what what things he will/won't put into action. A couple people putting their collective demand in doesn't necessarily equate to Robo jumping and doing what he's told.
Also his time/cost weighs into decisions as well as things that may be bigger priorities.
Lastly, again, this idea is nothing new. I still say no because i disagree with the approach being taken. If the OP has a request then he should go about it the correct way, post a suggestion in the Suggestions area, not petitioning people to pressure for his demands in the Singles area.
I'm not understanding what makes him think his suggestion so important or makes him believe he's so special that he feels privileged to not be bound by the same expectations on such matters as other people on the site are.
So no, no and no. That's my vote. The end.

If the guys want a forum whats the big deal about how they ask for it....you don't have to have any part in it

Im sorry but how is this a demand? He put it in the singles forum because more people read it. To make awareness! like I said before I think this is a perfect spot to put it out so we as a group can ask Robo for it and also so that he can see that people actually want it. No demands! This group is a priority since women have it too. But thats just what I think. If you dnt want to be a part of it like Mitspa said then dont. But you also dont have to state things that arent true. Shawn never demanded anything he suggested. And like I said. This place gets way more views than the suggestion forum
