Hated math in high school. Didn't see the need for it other than simple practical use. After high school, got into restaurant management and then after that dead-ended, started doing construction (which is what I do now).
Went from hating math to loving it. Went from failing it in high school to getting the highest A possible in college. If you want something built right in your home, you better hope the person you hire is good at math. lol

Here is a little math trick. Do it as quick as you can but be sure that your math is right.
1. Pick any number from 1-10.
2. Multiply that number by 9.
3. If the result is a two digit number, add the two numbers together. Otherwise, leave the result as is. I.e. If you came up with 23, 2 + 3 = 5
4. Now subtract 5.
5. Now take your number and go through the alphabet until you find your letter. 1=A, 2=B, 3=C, etc...
6. With your letter, think of a country that begins with that letter. Quickly, the first one that you come up with.
7. Now, with the last letter of that country, think of an animal that begins with that letter. Again, quick, the first thing you think of.
8. Finally, think of a color that begins with the last letter of the animal you chose.
Ready? Highlight the following space----> There are no orange kangaroos in Denmark.

I hate math but I'm good at it. that should be a poll option. :p I can sometimes to somewhat complex things in my head.
I'm the same way, I'm not really fond of math but I've always done well in it.

I have been told numerous times that a person who is good at math usually is not good at english, writing skills, etc. And vise versa. Something to do with the left and right brain. However, I have come across people who are good at both subjects. I call those people exceptional and I think they need to run our country. :) I do not do math well at all. Ick.

Please wait 4 the poll. ;)

Do you like math or are you good at it? OR do you hate math?

I happen to love math. I think math is awesome. I'm not going to boast here, I'll just say that I want to be like one of those autistic savants like in Rain Man who can do complex math in their heads like its nothing. :) Rain Man was a true story, in case anyone didn't know.

So h0w d0 y0u l1k3 m4th? :)
Zeroturbulence,
It is so courageous of you to admit, in front of everyone, that you want to be like rain man.

I've always wanted to be like Forest Gump... but I've never had to courage to say it.

: )
