I don't were a purity ring, however I don't think there is anything silly about a purity ring anymore than there is anything silly about a promise ring, an engagement ring, or a wedding ring. The rings are just symbols of a promise you've made, a promise to God, and to someone else. Like some have said, yes, purity rings do not keep you pure, however, sometimes a visible reminder helps prevent you from crossing the line.
And yes, I know that the only real way to not cross the temptation line is by relying on God, to put on His "Armor". But, how do you know that God isn't using the ring as a reminder that we are to put our trust in Him daily and not on man?

I get it, too. It is fun to poke fun at things, and, HEY, I can deadpan humor quite well . But this, my friends is not a subject of humor. The startling # of kids having had sex BEFORE the age of 16 , and, I could be wrong, but 14 is becoming the new normal, is 50%+ . That is a HORRIFYING #.
AND, I am going to not get into sex before marriage arguments but I never have and won't and to say that you should have sex b4 marriage to know compatibility is HOGWASH. GOD will cosecrate and bless you for your purity choice, and, don't take my word for it, it IS in scripture, many times said, NO SEX BEFORE MARRIAGE.
OK, that said, why don't we explain why it is not good to make light of serious subjects but ways to KEEP your purity with God. And, I don't care if you don't agree with me and you think a purity ring is SILLY, my best advice is KEEP IT TO YOURSELF ! AND, could be wrong but I liken purity, for ALL it means, and, am I saying that you have to have NEVER had sex in order to wear ring?

Simply, through your relationship wanting to be deepened with God through purity, you are choosing a ring. Super ! And, it is not for me to answer any other way. Here's why:

Now, is saying something heartless and discouraging, as you said in your 'list' pro/con purity ring post, AAA+, a sin?
Can't answer that. But take it to God because God can.
Now, to Luke 17:2 - It is better for that person to have a millstone hung around their neck than to cause a little one to stumble.'
Now, this is me only, doubt it, hopefully, I get some support, the Lord leads, and, I pray I only have God speak through me through His Holy Spirit inspired scripture breathed to life through the pens of men, but 'little one' defined, to me, means age 3 to 23. I think it goes for those who are still formulating direction for their life and even through college a year or two Iike to extend my definition because so many kids are strapped with so much debt coming out of school and 'financial' definitely can weaken one and Satan attacks our weaknesses.
