Hey Jullianna I think an interesting point that hasn't been brought up yet and I'm sure this happens more often then we realize is: What if you find someone who is absolutely compatible with you (you guys match up on personality, looks, intelligence, humor, a lot of the same interests in movies, books, art, etc.) BUT... he or she doesn't share your faith. What then? Looks like we got 3 options: Submit to the divine words of not being 'unequally yoked,' take it as an opportunity to teach this person about your faith and God-willing convert them, or lastly not caring about their faith at all and proceeding with the relationship. Which of the 3 would you guys choose?

Rocco, If I met someone I found to be "compatible", but not a believer, I would be a friend to them, but would not date them at that point. I have dated guys I THOUGHT to be believers and it didn't turn out well at all...a lesson hard learned. :( (I should have known better, but I'm stubborn sometimes)

If they were open to christianity and came to know the Lord at some point, I might reconsider, but to be completely honest it would be highly unlikely because I think that being equally yoked on a spiritual level is important as well. When one person has been walking with the Lord for a long time and the other person has not, there may be some difficulty...probably not insurmountable though. :) As a woman, I would simply prefer my man to be the spiritual leader, not me, so it would be something to pray about. Then again, God does amazing things and can endow a man with an overwhelming amount of godly wisdom within a very short period of time if the man is a willing vessel. :)
