Some places they still have service like that! Not where I live, but I know someone who went out of town to somewhere in VA (or it might have been WV), and they did this.
First, Gracelikerain informs me of the respectful behavior to this day in Texas towards funeral processions. Then Multilingualmessenger informs that full service gas stations exist in other places.

Well? Well What?

California. Yuck!

No. Wait.
I remember when it is freezing cold, icy, slippery sidewalks, closed roads, chattering teeth in many, many states while it is a comfortable 73 degrees in So. Cal.

In Oregon we can't pump our own gas, and usually they clean the windshield, and there is no snow where I am... or none in at least 4 years.

I wish it was like that here lol. I can only remember one place where I'm from that used to pump gas for you and clean the windshield, but it went out of business years ago.

Why can't you all pump your own gas? You all are about as liberal as California. Can't pump your own gas? What is that about?
Let me guess. The Oregon legislators wanted to raise state revenue, raise taxes. So, they created a law. The law forbids any individual uncertified individual from handling a device that is designed to emit fumes of a dangerous, toxic, nature. Only those who complete the two year STATE course of handling emit devices will be certified and permitted to use such devices.

I made that up. Am I right? Bet I am.

I believe it's to create jobs. And interestingly enough, outside of Portland, Salem, Eugene - we're pretty conservative here.

I don't get it. Why can't you all pump your own gas? What is this? Can you all put motor oil in your car? Here's the problem with not being able to pump your gas...prices will sky rocket at the pump.

Laws, laws, laws. There ought to be a law against more new laws. Billions of laws exist in the U.S.

I can remember when life in So. Cal. was fun. Drive here and there and enjoy the view. Not anymore.

Yep, the spread of government. The number one employer in the U.S. Liberals basically are on cruise control with their power.

I don't really know... it's just the way things are... there are people to do it for you... and it's quite fine with me... ;)

I remember when video games were not played on a console. You had to have a computer, a joystick was required and you could see the blocks of pixels. And the soundtracks and sound effects were strictly MIDI. Flying a crude representation of a helicopter across a 2d crude representation of a landscape was as advanced as it got. And some computers struggled even with that.

I remember when sound cards came separate from computers. And if the sound card overheated, the audio would slow down like a record spinning down. And CD burners were big, hulking external devices.

That was fun... you needed to use a whole lot of your imagination....

You just believed that that little "T" flying around was a spaceship... and those little awkwardly shapped "Qs" were aliens... hehehehe
