I get what you mean and yeah it might be true I'm not all too great at socializing depending on circumstances alot of times I freeze up or can't word things good no matter who I talk to.
What I did about that was, I would sit in a restaurant alone, get a meal when it wasn't during the busy hours, and practice by flirting with tbe waitresses.

One does not reach adulthood until 45.
My grandmother was married 38 years, had 7 kids, lived all over the world, and when she was dying at 72 years old, she told me she never felt grown up.

And that was coming from a woman. How much more for a guy? Seems like they never grow up.

What I wouldn't give to quantum leap back to my 5 year old self. I take care of my business, but I want to be that little kid standing in amazement. Who wants to grow up?

"Growing up" just sounds so fun when we're little. Then when we start to actually get a taste of it, we're like, "what is this crap?" It's kind of a slap in the face, really.

Well that's where me and you are different I don't like the whole flirting thing, actually I've done well with striking up conversations with females of many ages so it's not like I don't know how to get a discussion going,I guess it's just that when I really want to say something important I just "try too hard" at saying it like I've said before I'm somewhat of a perfectionist my problem has been more of that I plan then act but what I Do and what I plan are quite different so it becomes a flop.
And not just with females particularly relatives too, like when I feel I really need to say something for God to them I typically can't get myself to do it or if I do work up the gumption it wears me down.

Thats the problem Joe..... you're not supposed to say too much important to female your getting to know. Supposed to have fun, and there isn't nothing wrong with flirting.

Let him just do his thing. It sends some of us on guard when guys start flirting openly and obviously.

Easy for you to say truth is despite some of my past experiences I am just what people call a "nice guy" though I do have a mean streak,(despite my nice demeanor nowadays) I just can't seem to break away from "awkward shyness" or something like that,it's like I know what to do but,it's almost like a wall hits me when I talk or maybe pressure gets to me I'm not sure it really is annoying to me,on the other hand sometimes I'm not shy at all particularly my conversations have began with well wouldn't you guess it "jokes and randomness" like interrupting an interesting conversation, even I don't understand this.

"Growing old is mandatory, growing up is optional."

For all those young folks dying for a chance to "grow up" out there, remember those of us who grew old waiting for the boat to Neverland.

And I really couldn't tell you what I mean by that. Just a sampling of my cynical brain this evening, I guess.
