It doesn't always happen but pet owners should budget for emergencies. However, pet medical expense can be high. I think this is something where a person has to follow their conscience. Yes, a pet is not worth as much as a human, but I still think people should try to extend their pet's life (especially if the pet is not feeling pain and still has quite a number of years to live). Or, the person should try to find a good home for the pet if they cannot afford the bills.

Everyone who is an adult needs to learn how to budget....budgeting or balancing the books isnt absolved when you marry someone.

I really wonder where that myth comes from. :unsure:

Being in the red isnt that great sure but it just means you cant retire yet. I dont know anyone who married and thought well I can just give up my job the moment I marry cos there are now there are no bills to pay or living costs to meet. What planet do they live on?
