I wear makeup when im at work. Otherwise I look like a pale ghost thats caught in the headlights like a rabbit. I am constantly under lighting. This is when I'm not wearing face paint. Other then that I wear it on special occasions like awards nights, going to the theatre and functions.
by the way i work under a very hot big top which means you have to wear stuff that doesnt drip

Makeup should be banned, because makeup leeds to sex, and sex leads to penis.
How does makeup lead to sex? I'm just wondering I've never thought of it that way, but then I'm not a guy.ha

I am a female and I wear makeup a lot, never grew up with it and only started to wear it in the last few years and now I do not live with out it.
And yes I look fine with out it and no I do not need it everyday but I like it, I like having something stand out and if girls do not go over board it can be very subtle. But with makeup it is all the matter or opinion since make does not lead to sex and if I can testify to that personally. You can not blame what people wear or have on for there actions since they will do what they chose with or with out make up.

I don't understand the last part of this sentence but I've never laughed so hard at a post on here. Thankyou for making my day.

Are you kidding me a fresh coat of paint does a lot of good for an old barn; I am 40 years old (well just about) I need all the heal I can get! All things were created by Yashua for Yashua (Jesus) thank G-d He allowed someone to figure out how to invent makeup...lol.

makeup is all about pretense and misrepresentation

solomon said 'one man in a thousand have I found without guile; I have never found a woman with no guile'

Ecclesiastes 7:25I applied mine heart to know and to search and to seek out wisdom and the reason for things, and to know the wickedness of folly, even of foolishness and madness.

26And I find more bitter than death the woman whose heart is snares and nets, and whose hands are as bonds. Whoso pleaseth God shall escape from her, but the sinner shall be taken by her.

27"Behold, this have I found," saith the Preacher, "counting one by one to find out the account,

28which yet my soul seeketh, but I find not: One man among a thousand have I found, but a woman among all those have I not found.
29Lo, this only have I found: that God hath made man upright, but they have sought out many inventions."

actually you are right , guile is not mentioned

dunno where I read that

Psalm 32:2
Blessed is the man unto whom the LORD imputeth not iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no guile.

Psalm 34:13
Keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking guile.

Make up gives false ideals and makes superficial beauty "important"

I've been told several times "you'd look so pretty with some make-up"
so how am I supposed to interpet that? - am I ugly without it?....

What does the Bible say regarding women and make-up.

The only law is to love God with all your heart and with all your soul and to love your neighbor. Upon this there is no other law. So what do you choose? To be put under a heavy load of laws or to accept the gift of Christ and live by the Great Commandment?

I personally like it and know many Christian women who are truth teachers of God's Word. If it is wrong to cut your hair short and dress in trousers, aren't these inappropriate dressing for the man who doesn't feel women should "paint" their faces? If a woman chooses short hair and to wear pants and wear make-up, then a man who believes this goes against Biblical teaches shouldn't even be looking upon women who do like these things. And if she wears make-up and marries a man who was attracted to her while she was single and wearing make-up and then after they get married he insists she obey him and not wear make-up, isn't the man being deceitful, not to mention some kind of control freak? Like he is desperate to get a wife and doesn't stay true to his "tastes or beliefs". If a man thinks make-up is not feminine and a false pretense then most definitely he should not even look at a woman with make-up. Now, I think there are plenty true Christian men who love God and the teachings and find Godly Christian women who wear make-up not a problem, but actually an enhancement because she does care about her presentation as a woman and represents her husband. I love the virtual woman in Proverbs 31. No mention of make-up or the lack of being feminine. Really now, you don't celebrate Christmas or Easter do you? You know that Christmas is idolatry, Christmas trees the word says are neither good or bad, they have no power to harm. And Christ wasn't even born in December. And Easter is not even celebrated on the correct day. If you go by God's calendar and Pentecost then you are not observing the right day. And hey, while we are at it, are you on God's calendar. When the sunset begins a new day. When the first sliver of the moon shows it is a new moon. And do you observe God's determination of what time a sunset occurs or the time of a new moon, thus a new month. If you are so adamant about how a woman should present herself biblical, I really think you need to quit observing the Gregorian calendar and all pagan/christian mixed holidays and stay indoors praying on a solice. Are you doing all these things too? Jesus called the Pharisees and Saducees hypocrites because they had taken God's laws and added so much to it, that even they couldn't abide by them. Jesus called them hypocrites. So abide by all of God's laws if you must, but for the majority of us we are under salvation and grace, which is sufficient. The only law is to love God with all your heart and with all your soul and to love your neighbor. Upon this there is no other law. So what do you choose? To be put under a heavy load of laws or to accept the gift of Christ and live by the Great Commandment?

Excuses excuses! lol

But I don't get it. WHY do you need to look 'nicer' when you go to events? If you're relying on makeup to make you look nicer, then isn't it all just a bit fraudulent! If people know that's not what you look like anyway, then why bother wearing it?

Without having seen you I can guarantee you that you look better without makeup.
make up in special occasions can help ppl focus on the person best features, lets say you dont want ppl to know your lacking sleep and a event comes up you want them to focus on you not your dark circles while there looking at you, and if the right natural light make up is used it blends in and bring out the beauty in your skin. the same with cloths, why bother trying to dress in presentable cloths?
