What does the Bible say regarding women and make-up.
The only law is to love God with all your heart and with all your soul and to love your neighbor. Upon this there is no other law. So what do you choose? To be put under a heavy load of laws or to accept the gift of Christ and live by the Great Commandment?
I personally like it and know many Christian women who are truth teachers of God's Word. If it is wrong to cut your hair short and dress in trousers, aren't these inappropriate dressing for the man who doesn't feel women should "paint" their faces? If a woman chooses short hair and to wear pants and wear make-up, then a man who believes this goes against Biblical teaches shouldn't even be looking upon women who do like these things. And if she wears make-up and marries a man who was attracted to her while she was single and wearing make-up and then after they get married he insists she obey him and not wear make-up, isn't the man being deceitful, not to mention some kind of control freak? Like he is desperate to get a wife and doesn't stay true to his "tastes or beliefs". If a man thinks make-up is not feminine and a false pretense then most definitely he should not even look at a woman with make-up. Now, I think there are plenty true Christian men who love God and the teachings and find Godly Christian women who wear make-up not a problem, but actually an enhancement because she does care about her presentation as a woman and represents her husband. I love the virtual woman in Proverbs 31. No mention of make-up or the lack of being feminine. Really now, you don't celebrate Christmas or Easter do you? You know that Christmas is idolatry, Christmas trees the word says are neither good or bad, they have no power to harm. And Christ wasn't even born in December. And Easter is not even celebrated on the correct day. If you go by God's calendar and Pentecost then you are not observing the right day. And hey, while we are at it, are you on God's calendar. When the sunset begins a new day. When the first sliver of the moon shows it is a new moon. And do you observe God's determination of what time a sunset occurs or the time of a new moon, thus a new month. If you are so adamant about how a woman should present herself biblical, I really think you need to quit observing the Gregorian calendar and all pagan/christian mixed holidays and stay indoors praying on a solice. Are you doing all these things too? Jesus called the Pharisees and Saducees hypocrites because they had taken God's laws and added so much to it, that even they couldn't abide by them. Jesus called them hypocrites. So abide by all of God's laws if you must, but for the majority of us we are under salvation and grace, which is sufficient. The only law is to love God with all your heart and with all your soul and to love your neighbor. Upon this there is no other law. So what do you choose? To be put under a heavy load of laws or to accept the gift of Christ and live by the Great Commandment?
