Ah, in very large churches. I am permanently safe then.

The only thing I come close to in your list of detriments is worm farming. My uncle used to have a worm bed because he liked fishing. He no longer has much time to fish so he no longer has the worm bed.

If a woman around here was as desperate as you say they are, she would get a reputation of her own in the community.

I'm peoples go to babysitter, or if someone doesn't want to go anywhere alone, Im usually available (and dont really mind doing it)

Going out to dinner is cheaper since I only have to pay for my own meal.

My collection of fluffy pillows/blankets dont annoy anyone cause theres only me to answer to...

My pajamas dont have to match :D

All a plus if you ask me.

Them tiny country churches...

Go visit a mega church for a while...or even a large one in a large city.

Brentwood Baptist. (5,000 per Sunday) is a meat market for their CC singles classes. They have 3 separate small groups that meet on grounds and one off grounds that meet.

My Church (1,100-1,500 Sunday) actually ran off most of their singles intentionally after a fuss involving a singles pastor that headed up that department...but we still have singles meeting and getting married.

And the hunters only become the prey after 50...not before. But if there are any of the red flags I wouldn't count on women chasing you.

Such as income instability or financially dependant on govt subsidies...
Heavy debts, poor hygiene, outrageous theological positions, poor social skills, antisocial hobbies like worm farming...

Then there's all the normal ones... like chemical dependency, tobacco use, gambling addiction, porn addiction, laziness addiction.

In small towns EVERY person has a community reputation that everyone knows. You will live or die by that reputation.

And asking someone to their face about any of these things is pointless... nobody is that rude as to tell you directly what the issue is.
By the way, you're drifting back into your old "If you're still single there must be something terribly wrong with you" theory.

I mean yeah, this is the singles forum and people say that a lot here. We've heard the theory so often that it has become part of the background noise. It's still insulting though.

Why is it so hard to wrap your brain around the concept of somebody WANTING to be single? Why do you find it necessary to convince yourself that there must be some character flaw that keeps those poor single people from finding somebody?

Wanting to be single hasn't issue...
Wanting to be married but still single...then there's an issue.

Just saying... you were talking like you wanted to be in a relationship.

Now I'm gonna have to go back and reread every post I made in this thread to see where I gave that impression, because it is DEFINITELY false.

Okay I read through all my posts in this thread. I'm defaulting back to my first theory: You're talking through your hat. I never said anything about wanting a relationship.

I DID say a few times that I'm not in the market for one, and even gave a rather detailed explanation of why I'm not in a hurry to find one.

Well a lot of people say one thing but mean another...

But I was under the impression that you actually wanted one which does bring forward a set of specific behaviors and attitudes. Which of course will bring the women.

If you display almost misogynistic attitudes and behaviors... women will leave you alone.

Reckon I am the typical or the generalization for single guys. 14 years ago when my ex and I divorced, she just wanted gone. So she made no claims and she let the court know I could have the house, the kids, and the dogs. So for 14 years I have been hearing from my mother, sisters, Aunts, nieces, and my friends wives.

That ya sure can tell I am single cause have no pictures on the walls. As well as for 14 years they shake their heads cause my drapes don't match my furniture. My furniture don't match my carpet. My silverware is a hodge podge of 4 different patterns. While I have all china type plates all my cups are plastic and do not match the dinnerware. With some of those plastic cups saying Taco Bell, McDonalds, Subway, and other fast food names on them.

For 14 years they have been letting me know I should get remarried. I am convinced they only do so cause they are all OCD and when they visit my home, that all the mismatch sets off their anxiety.......LOL
Yes you need to get remarried 😂

When you've been around the forum a bit longer, you'll probably come to realize that Lynx is one of the CC singles members in the running for "Most likely to live their entire lives unmarried and content about it" .

He's already won "Most likely to use a flamethrower to fend off people who try to match him up with random women" just thought we should warn you about that.

Nope. I always say exactly what I mean. I even think through what I say to make sure it reflects exactly what I intend to convey with my words.

I cannot be held responsible for your (very wrong and somewhat weird) impressions. I can however recommend some good impressionist comedians on youtube.

I practice Lo Karate, the art of hitting below the belt. It goes well with the flamethrower.

Wait a minute, you just called me a liar?

First you say that if I'm still single I must have some terrible character flaw, then you call me a liar?

Are you really THAT bored this week?

It just now striking me how close to the word finance or financee that word is. Coincidence?
