Well for starters I would like to say Welcome to Christian Chat. :)

I'm kind of curious to see where this goes but, my initial thought is what would Jesus do?

Is is possible to do something like that without lustful thoughts?

I know I sound like Ned Flanders but seriously I don't think prayer and Masturbation are compatible, just as I don't think Church and Masturbation are compatible.

Welcome to CC, Valbends. :)

There are a lot of threads on this topic that are on their way down the pipe if you'd like to read them. This is why our responses might be a little less than enthusiastic. :)

I would say it is, but then i would question the oddity inherent in your system that you need to masturvate so badly you make it cold and scientific

and no, I don't think it's good because of the lustful thoughts that come with doing it.

Sorry about posting this on here. I actually thought about deleting it, but I really am feeling badly about it...
I don't do it because I want to. As a matter of fact, there are not even lustful thoughts that go along with it. I don't think about anything when I do it... I just count. And when I am done I feel miserable because I am unsure if I sinned and I do not even like the way it feels.
It is just like a habit that I cannot stop, just like picking a scab or whatever...

No offense, but some things are just a lil too personal to share.

James 5:16

Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed.

That said, it's practically the only sin I am aware of I do not feel bad about. Though to repent means not only to feel regret and remorse for wrong-doing but to resolve not to continue. So, I pray that you will find the resolve and pray I can keep my resolve.

It is simply wrong to attempt to convince anyone that they will go to hell if they masturbate. It is wrong for an accuser to put another person under the law which the accuser could not keep himself. Self hatred is a destructible force. Be careful you so not let your thoughts lead you into trouble. There is nothing worse than walking through life with the burden of guilt.

If you believe you are different than other people because you think about sex, you are badly mistaken. If you have people tell you it's a sin to think about sex, they are attempting to keep you under a burden they themselves cannot keep. You are a normal person that belongs to God. Don't let anyone convince you that you are not normal.

Hell is not the issue, at least not an issue that has easily swayed many from doing anything but, here is an article you might find worth reading.

I would like intimacy, privacy in sex/lovelife.
One can make love to oneself in many different ways , sexual or non sexual.
There is spiritual sex/lovemaking with someone but without touching eachother physically.
I dont tend to "do it" as it does not give me anything.Possibly tension releif in muscles.
Spiritual lovemaking with partner in love and intimacy even when "apart" would be nice though.
I dont see it as sin , keep a open mind.
There is innocent badness or cheekiness where one does not intend or will to hurt anyone and theres the other kind that Ive experienced where someone does eeeeeeeeeverything to hurt you.
I ackknowledge and stand for my "badness" to God and self the things I truly have done.(shaggy "wasnt me".. :) )
I will to improve where I have wronged and be genuine in it.
I think trying to treat ones spirit, soul, body well and with respect is good.
If masturbating makes you feel good that can even be healing...Thing is love and lust?
Making it lovemaking or being careful with the lust as it can be very destruktive and hurtful.
And some even use lust for power and control and hurt in soul raping ways.
Something to be careful with.

Ok, you got me there, but I do get the slight feeling this may be a ""troll" thread. I could be wrong and hope I am.

Like I said. Troll Thread...then MEgatron shows up.
He even admitted he lives under a bridge.

Anyway....if this thing is happening without any type of lustful thought and the OP does it out of habit then I really have no idea how to comment on it other than maybe some type of psychological issue. Then again is it really an "issue"?
