Wow am glad to see am not alone. Ive read most of what you've been advised to do and i neither agree nor deny because loneliness at times sucks so much to bring tears to your eyes. I joined activities thinking they will keep me busy and help forget my loneliness but at the end all i do is tire myself to sleep and eventually i wake up to the same feeling of loneliness. I now think and believe prayer could be an answer to it since God will redirect my mind from the loneliness to maybe something productive. Just a thought.

Crying is actually good for you to release toxins from built up pressure. Another way to get rid of the toxins is to exercise. If you get out and walk or jog or Ho the gym you a rebound to find a friend somewhere along the line.

All the best

I have few friends and some church friends. Sometimes I see them only a couple of times a month. Also there is not much to do at church for 3 or more weeks at a time.

So it can get lonely when you want to be with your church friends and they are all busy doing something else. I can relate very well.

I used to get lonely when I was younger and feel sorry for myself. Not that I'm saying that you're feeling sorry for yourself....but are you? What are your thoughts on the matter? Something to think about. Also, I rather enjoy my alone time now. Maybe it's that I'm older and wiser? Or maybe it's that people are overrated. Lol. The only person I miss when he is not around is my son. Other than that I am perfectly content to entertain myself.

Exactly!!! Im good being by myself. But I do miss my kids when I dont have them. As noisy and destructive as they are, I miss it all when they are with their mother.

I have not posted a thread, not sure if I am doing it right.... so, here we go...

Don't get me wrong, I know the Lord is to be enough...I am human, I can be weak (I'm not always but weaknesses are part of us as humans whether we like it or not). I do have friends and family but don't get to see or talk to them much, as they have their own families. But, of course, that's a totally different relationship then What I am lonely for. My kids are leaving the nest, only one left at home. I just get so extremely lonely sometimes. Other times I am perfectly happy, but during those times of loneliness... well, it just sucks. Anyone else relate? I read my Bible and spend time in prayer and worship ... it helps but it's just kind of always there. Some times are worse than others.
me too almost all the time except the crying part i just feel a void or numbness at times ... wish i had a husband
