So, I noticed 2 sports on here I didn't recognize... What are throw ball and Kho Kho? Also, since I didn't follow the format in the beginning...

1. What all sports have you played in your life, if any?
Boxing, MMA, American Football, I wouldn't have mentioned it eariler but since someone else did chess, and since we're including chess, poker.

2. Which were you good at? Do you still play them?

MMA don't really participate anymore (BTW, to illustrate the reason why I love boxing and MMA so much, you PLAY every other sport in the world, you don't PLAY boxing, or PLAY fighting.)

American football no I don't play anymore.

Chess yes I still play.

Poker yes I still play and hopefully continue to improve.

3. What sport do you hate and what sport do you wish to play or follow?

Hate? I can't think of any I hate but there are some that are no fun to watch but fun to play. I'd like to play them all but most I'd be terrible at.

Chess is a sport? Board games maybe? I'm killer at Settlers of Catan. Watch your sheep, my middle name is 'the burglar' :p

Chess IS a sport.

But you don't need to actually play.

It's really more of a spectator thing.
Those crazy chess hooligans.

I neither play nor watch sports. I guess I'm just a nerd. But when the church youth group plays baseball I can actually hit the ball and run around the bases (there's a REASON I wear toe shoes - agility!)

I have no interest in watching other people play sports myself, but I can understand those who cheer for a certain team. Unfortunately for them, I also understand the fun of cheering for whatever team they are against. :D At work there used to be two maintenance men who had a friendly rivalry between them, one being a TN Vols fan and the other a Bama fan. When the Bama fan was around I'd yell "GO VOLS!" When the Vols fan was around I'd shout, "GO BAMA!" If they were both in the area I'd holler, "GO WILDCATS!"

Oh, and speaking of people who can't play, but criticize those who do play...

People still play board games? That sounds really nice...

Most of my friends refuse to play em any more. It's depressing. And next gen console games aren't even 4 player split screen. Displaced by electronics only to end up without that option either.

I'm still not sure how it's a sport any more than video games are a sport (although apparently the state department disagrees).

Unless it's human chess or something. Then I could get on board - literally.

Ah.... board games. Does anyone here remember Risk? That game was off the hook and the chain.

I'd much rather do than watch. But the only activity I really do is lift weights. None of my friends around here are really into that, and apparently think it's no fun. Real party animals play in cages - I just can't get my friends to see that.

Heck I can't even get a small group of friends interested in going camping.

I played American Football growing up every odd grade 5th, 7th, 9th, 11th. Various positions, I was pretty good at everything except blocking. When I was younger I was small and fast, so Corner and Safety, special teamer. As I got older, I got slower and taller, TE, backup QB, Safety, nickel corner. In the Navy we had flag football leagues and stuff. It was fun cause it wasn't serious and I could play both ways at whatever position I wanted.

Played Tennis but couldn't really master the top spin.

Played loads of Volleyball and soccer.

Downhill Skiing... in Idaho thats a sport.

Pretty good swimmer, but never really a fan of water.

and since we're meddling in the range of non-sports... I'm a pretty good dart player.

But none of these skills compares to my prowess at the Foosball Table.

As a side note... I'm a terrible bowler. I aim for 100 and rarely achieve it. I can't hit a baseball. My golf swing was recently fixed this summer. Before it was so predictably terrible that I had to essentially direct my shot 100 yards to the right of whatever I was aiming for.

Dreadful at Pool. I can play Ping Pong, I know the rules, and thats as far as that goes well.

I was on my high school football team (american football). I don't care for any sports except american football. American football is the only sport I will watch, but I don't even like it as much as I used to.

The only sport I pay attention to is baseball(Mn Twins). It has a long(longest?) season of any sport at 6 months + 1 month pre-season + 1 month post-season.

The Twins didn't do well so they aren't in post-season. I'll still watch some of the post-season games and cheer on the American League teams.

I LOVE RISK! My friends are all into board games. You should see some of our super-intense game nights, complete with massive amounts of junk food, banter, music, possible cheating *stares at that one friend* and laughter. These nights are the highlight of our group.

We have pirate board games, war board games, and even a dorky Lord of the Rings game where we play the movie theme music while battling Sauron.

So amaze.

You guys should all come next time.

I played some rugby (1[SUP]st[/SUP] team for my boardinghouse at varsity level) and still playing touch rugby with the parents at my son’s school.
Also played cricket (never any good at it) and action cricket. Tennis (average), squash (competitive LOL) and volley ball.

Love rugby (especially SA vs All Blacks and Aussie) and cricket (IPL!!!! And when SA win against Aussie LOL!!!)

We had an American guy playing touch rugby with us and had a good giggle the first day he arrived because in American football you can run in front of the ball. He took off and ran towards the goal line and we had to stop him and explain that in rugby you have to stay behind the ball. After that he picked it up quickly and was actually a decent touch rugby player :)

Hockey is the sport that I love and play. I played roller hockey growing up and through high school. I was fortunate to win a state championship and travel to nationals where we took second. For college I was in engineering and nerds don't usually make up a good team, but we had a great team the two years I played. Took second both years, and nationals if we would have gone we would have won. I now play ice hockey now in a men's league.

I can watch playoff baseball, but the regular season doesn't really interest me much, especially since the home team is an annual cellar dweller. I go to games every so often, and enjoy them when I do,l but on TV during the regular season, meh.

The older I get, the more I am starting to appreciate football. The strategy and schemes are starting to interest me more than the actual game though.

I read a quote on another forum about soccer that I liked... "Soccer is for sissies who run marathons and fall down near a ball." I know the rest of the world fancies soccer, but meh, I can never get myself into it.

basketball is a pathetic sport IMO, or maybe I should say the NBA. I've never had the urge to play basketball, even though i'm taller than 6'.
