Losing a cat is THE WORST. I can't imagine how you feel right now because Sadie is still here, and you see her. She's JUST out of reach. That'd be so awful.
It's hard. I worry. It's bitter sweet. I love seeing her. But then I have to reject her when I shut the house door. Plus this lady allows her to go outside and I worry about her getting hurt or hit by a car. I know how much care and love I gave her and I still want to give it to her, and it attracts her to me but it's just a taste. Out of reach, like you said :( :( :(

What can I do?

This will be the last thing I say on the whole Israel v. Palestinians and the bible. If y'all want to PM me about what I say, I welcome it. I just won't talk about it again in the thread. :D

I am a dispensationalist. That means I take the bible literally. I believe Israel is still Israel. Christians and the United States are NOT spiritual Israel. I do not believe Covenant theology. The bible is EXTREMELY easy to understand, and I take my God at his word. I always have.

Therefore, didymos, Israel is still Israel. They, Israel, (me included because rabbinical law says my mom and our family are Jewish) "of old" and current Israel are still the Israel of the bible. Israel has been secular while they were still in biblical times, so your point doesn't jive.

And Chandler, God didn't dismiss Israel because of their antics. He did divorce them, but he also said that he would ALWAYS keep his promises. He took them back anyway. Israel is Israel. Christians are grafted into the vine. Adopted, not the originals.

I really wish I knew!! :( I guess you could pray for her protection. I'm serious, I think praying for animals is 100% not crazy. When Mocha injured himself and I didn't know what was wrong, all I could do was pray, "God, let Mocha be okay."

Did wisebeardman really leave?

I was going to make a post about something that happened today, and I thought I'd add "What is this I don't even" and it made me think of him and I thought I saw a post a while back that he was leaving but that was back when I didn't have a lot of internet access and couldn't catch up and so now I'm wondering and now I'm rambling.

Anyone know?

I've seen him since he said he was leaving. I haven't seen him recently.

Thanks. I will pray for her. It's been heavy on my heart since I gave her back, but especially since I saw her outside and her reactions towards me. Even if the lady told me that I could have Sadie back, my roommate didn't like her so she wouldn't agree to have her back. She hasn't been sympathetic to me losing her and reuniting with her. She couldn't care less. So I don't think I'll get to have her again. I'll pray for her sake. Her life. For her care.

He keeps saying he is gone for good but he pops in every 2 weeks or so just long enough to say he's leaving .

Yeah, that's what I would do. I think God created animals for us. Not just to have dominion over them, but God knew we would have companionship with them too and create a strong bond with them.

And isn't that such a blessing?!

It is, it really is!

Also...today I didn't feel like I was gonna explode from anxiety or stressing over my pets! I mean...the house still isn't completely silent. But after I woke up and took care of my dog, I slept for an extra 4 hours and so I got a good 10 hours of sleep overall.

I'm really encouraged by Mocha's progress. I mean, there are a few things I'm worried about like the mess-making. He's still making some messes in the house. But maybe what I can do is not allow Mocha to have water after such a time and then in the morning take him out, fill his food dish and see if he wants to eat, and then give him the water dish.

Sometimes I wonder if people here are really all that friendly as they claim to be. As a newcomer I have not felt welcome in this place despite being quite active in this forum. I don't know if it is because of the way I come across to people or if it is because I am an Indian (most folks who are popular are from the US/Canada). I just came here to meet some good Christian folks and to socialize but instead I get rude replies and what not.

It is just disappointing. I would appreciate it if anyone points out where I have gone wrong (if I have!). But I wouldn't be surprised if my post is ignored and 'life in CC goes on as usual'.

I cannot speak to any specifics, but sometimes language differences and nuances are harder to navigate when English isn't your first language. So you may be correct in thinking it is because of how you come across. It is most likely a language issue. I can assure you it is not because you are an Indian. Please just give people here a chance, because like with most things it takes time for things to develop. If it is about just how you present yourself, people will begin to understand that it is a part of you.

Thank you for your reply Hoss. I wasn't expecting any reply to my rant. So it was a much-needed boost.

I don't think there has been an issue with language even though English is not my first language. Maybe people feel that I am rude or 'weird'. I will follow what you have suggested. I think I will hang around for a couple of months to see if I can make any friends here. The irony is that I have always been a sociable person - irrespective of language/country/culture. I have a few circles in real and virtual (twinity, second life, tribal wars, etc.) that I have never come across as being an 'outsider'. I really hope it changes. It would be a disappointment if it doesn't since this was the one place where I really wanted to have a spiritually-edifying fellowship.
