Star lord, here's a late welcome for you. I don't know you very well, but I've enjoyed what I've seen of your posts. Come back when you get a chance!
Thank you very much. I may not be taking a big break, it's sort of a gamble that I'll find out the answer too on Wednesday.

Oooh, if we're going with fictional characters, then this guy right here is who my man crush is.

Thor is so lame tho. :p

Ordinarily, I'd suggest... well, y'all know who. But I can't anymore because I love and respect Arlene to pieces, and that obviously trumps my need to embarrass Tintin.
Pop! I love your way of saying something, while not quite saying something. Subtle. Thanks. ;)

Opinion question for you all:

My parents and oldest sister (still younger than me) are taking my youngest sister to her universit tonight and then returning tomorrow afternoon. So last night as I'm enjoying some time with friends from church, I get a text from my oldest sister asking if I would go with them because she thinks my youngest sister "would really appreciate me being there." I know my youngest sister hasn't said this because it's not like her to say those types of things. I think more than anything my oldest sister just thinks it would be fun if I came along.
It's much more likely that you will regret the times you chose work over family than the times you chose family over work. It's also somewhat likely that your little sisters miss having their big brother around and part of the family since you make it sound like you are the oldest and you are still fairly young. If you feel like family is always trying to run and impose on your life that is one thing, but for major events I'm sure they are glad to have you along (your ability to materially do anything or contribute is not required).

Well guess who's a brand new married woman :D
Congrats. You need to post a picture of your cake so we can see if it is as awesome as one of Pipp's.

My heart just broke in 1,000,000,000,000 pieces over Robin Williams.
yeah, it's sad, isn't it?

it's sad is that depression still isn't very well understood, and not everyone survives it. we need to take it seriously.

and if you're suffering from depression, please get help. there is no shame in needing help, through a counselor or/and when medication is called for.

few things make me angrier when christians (and others) minimizing depression, and calling it a "spiritual problem".

please let this be your wake up call, if you're floundering and resisting help.

Oh yes I did. :p

Jumping to topics, I think it's sad that Robin Williams passed away, as it is with anyone, and depression is something I can relate too. However, some people are just sad because he was funny. I never thought he was that funny, so I'm not like, "Oh no!" I'm mainly just like. "Oh no." Is that bad?

I find it disturbing that my FB feed blows up when a "actor/celebrity" dies, yet no one cares when hundreds are being killed in Iraq.

Mine has had both going on, actually. Right now Robin Williams is the hot topic, but two hours earlier I saw a LOT about ISIS on my facebook.

Really? Many of my friends on FB have talked about ISIS ever since the trouble began. The news about Robin Williams is spreading like wild-fire, but I still have plenty of friends talking about the evil injustices in the world.

Robin Williams died? Wow, I really am isolated. And yet, I don't see that it really impacts me much. And that may explain why I don't make the effort to be less isolated. Or does the isolation itself keep things from impacting me, hmmm? yeah I better stop now before you guys think I am either really crazy or really heartless.

Last week, before I got sick, I signed up for a time slot to give blood since my work has a blood drive in the building tomorrow. I am still planning on going, if they'll take me.

The very first time I gave blood, it went so smoothly. The next few times...not as much I had to lay down at the end and was close to passing out. I'm pale anyway, but I really scared the nurses once because ALL color was gone from my face and when I looked in the mirror after a bit I looked close to death. Just so white. I didn't feel that bad, but I looked like it. A few other times I have tried to give, my iron has been too low.

I've been trying to eat and drink a lot these past few days, but hopefully tomorrow goes smoothly. I don't like the feeling (those "needles" are actually shovels) but I like the feeling of giving.

Also, I had a dream I met some CC people last night, in a warehouse.

I remember meeting TinTin and looking up at him and thinking, "Wow...he IS really tall!"

Was it a dark and stormy night? Was it an abandoned warehouse? Did anyone bring cheese?

You met me and some others in a warehouse? What were we doing? Reenacting gangster movies?
Good call, Rachel. I am tall. 6'5 tall. :)

I hope it flows smoothly....
