Hmm that's treading on some shaky ground. I used to work for a large retailer and there were a couple managers there that I liked working with. They were both pretty cool and easy to get along with and they seemed to enjoy their work too. Well, one day I noticed that they haven't been around lately so I asked someone if they were on vacation and they told me no they're gone. So I was like what do you mean by gone, and then she told me that they got fired because they were involved in trying to start a union. That's probably grounds for wrongful termination but I'm not sure.
Here, if you sign on to a union even though your work isn't officially unionized, you are protected from the company firing you. The agency that I work for is one of the lowest paying non-unionized agencies and doing the same work/or harder work than others. People are leaving the company because the wage is too low compared to other companies. I have to get more info though, I'm hesitant and conflicted on multiple issues.

I had the wonderful experience of ministering and feeding the homeless today. Always a blessing to serve them and talk and witness. We had a little over 200 there and it was just so good to too feed the hungry and to talk with them. I was truly blessed with this experience.

My roommate has a friend over, they are watching YouTube videos and obnoxiously laughing and discussing ladies bodies and how they are too skinny or fat. I am sitting in my bedroom listening to Chopin and reading. I must say, I am glad to be me

Serving is what we are called to do. The Master himself did not come to be served, but to serve. Keep it up. Heaven's reward awaits you.

Now what fun would that be, telling you where I live?? :p
Okay, at least tell me the make, model, and colour of the car you drive. And maybe which state so I can watch for the plates, too.

Need to make sure my airbag sensors are still working...

I went to a Christian singles dance tonight. The last one I attended was a couple of years ago. I was reluctant to go again because the last one was just awkward. The ladies didn't seem to dress very modestly, coupled with me not really being ready to do that sort of thing at the time. Anyway, I decided to give it another shot, and I'm glad I did.

There was a lesson before the dance, during which I asked this very cute gal (but her hair was weird - I think she was wearing a "bumpit") to dance. She said no, which at first seemed odd, but she seemed nervous about being out on the floor learning the dance. I had seen her before practicing the moves in the corner of the room behind the tables, so I guess she didn't like being in the big group while learning the steps.

I decided not to be crushed by bumpit girl, and danced and mingled throughout the night.

Then, during a mixer, I met...her. She seemed my age...and really cute in a Karen Allen sort of way. I was going to ask her to dance again, but I was grabbed by this older woman and found myself on the dance floor dancing with her instead while she told me about her three trucks and her dogs. She also said she lost a lot of weight. When I said I had too, she lectured me to stay away from the lemon cake.

"Karen Allen" was dancing with another gentleman. Since the last few songs were very fast, I decided not to ask her to dance immediately when she sat down, so that she could have a break. Mistake. This guy I was chatting with earlier, who seemed like a decent fellow, ended up dancing with her. I made a mental note to kill him when he took a bathroom break and danced with this blonde gal for a while. We ended up on the opposite side of the room to "Karen," so by the time I got there, yet another someone had already asked her to dance.

This repeated until she left early.

Frustrated, but reassessing certain strategies, such as dancing my current partner close to where the gal I really want to dance with is located so that she is nearby when the song finishes. Oh, but that seems disrespectful to the current partner, doesn't it? Maybe I'll just elbow the other guys out of the way.

**sigh** I'm so new at this stuff.

Someone walks in a girl changing and sees her in her bra and underwear. "AH!!" She exclaims, "Get out!" She's embarrassed. They just saw her in her underwear!!
Then that same girl will walk out on the beach in a bikini even skimpier than her underwear with no shame at all.

Makes no sense at all, does it? But it's not an uncommon attitude. Why is it that underwear is "private" but then they flaunt their body wearing less than that and it's no longer "private"?
Unfortunately sex sells to the majority, and there is a difference in private places over public ones.
You see this all over the world especially on TV.
Innuendoes everywhere one turns in this world.
It is used as a hidden persuader to buy mostly beyond our incomes, having credit cards to get it now.
There is a book called hidden persuaders and is very enlightening to the media in its selling ways to the public

Big day of buying stuff yesterday, business stuff, I'm praying that I just keep can going forward knowing He is Lord and what I have is not mine, it's His, and, whether I get good stuff or bad stuff, His stuff for me is what matters. This stuff seems like, hmmm, I don't know, I am just knowing that God wants me to work hard , like Adam, like Eve, and, follow Him and it will all be good and blessed and faith will be part of it too. Life seems so easy without having to have faith. SEriously !

But, that's not what God wants, He gave us our faith for a reason. To follow Him ! By His grace :)

catherdingfrenchhorner knows what comes next, and, way to go, bro, dancing with the gal's , the Lord blessed me with dancing with all the ladies in college way back when, I went to dances every Friday nad Saturday night. He kept me ! He will keep you, too, until the time is write for the perfect 'Karen Allen' to step into your life. You follow His lead and you will be dancing with her soon enough, into His light :)

The Lord leads . :)

I'm so glad you enjoyed yourself and at least saw an interesting woman, even if you didn't manage to snag a dance. They need to reinstate "dance cards" so you can get your name on hers ahead of time!

Today was SUCH a busy day. Not a moment went by I wasn't doing something today. Housecleaning, house-hunting, getting ready for youth group after house-hunting, going to youth group, coming home from youth group to watch a movie with the fam... it wasn't a bad day. Hopefully tomorrow goes smoothly, too. God knows I need that. I need His comprehension to get me through Government and Economy. I'm behind because I got sick the second day of school starting up, and stayed that way for a week so I was put behind by that, then when I went through the first lesson, they were ridiculous. I couldn't navigate my way through them alone to save my life. So I've had to come into the building for help. Not a bad thing, but it's just....frustrating. I want to get done. I want to start post-secondary so I can get my general ed done. Then I want to continue onto the college of my choice. But who knows how life will end up by the end of this year.

I was about to post a joke about playing in traffic in a post that someone made about how they felt like their life would be better if they were single because they were lonely (with the snarky remark that there are plenty of fun activities for single people to do - like playing in traffic). Then I decided to post about it here because I came to the shocking revelation that I would enjoy playing in traffic if I could put enough walls around it (like four brick ones and therefore no traffic).
What ever happened to just going and playing in traffic when you're lonely? I mean maybe not traffic per se, but there are plenty of things that can be done.

I would probably play in traffic if it weren't
A: Really incredibly stupid. Even for me in one of my "bright idea" phases (sometimes I have some really dumb bright ideas, sometimes they actually are good ones too).
B: Really inconsiderate. The motorists who crash avoiding you don't deserve that. They might even say some hurtful things to you after the accident. You might even learn new words and new combinations of words you never thought possible.
C: Kind of more of A and B, but it's illegal because of A and B
D: Did I mention A, B, and C?

Little else is on my mind as of Thursday, other than my little angel. I'm constantly finding little things that she does that just make me smile or laugh. As of the day she was born, I found that she'll squeak before crying (earning her the nickname Squeaker from grandpa), she'll moan in her sleep, and just today I found her in her bed, with her little finger sticking straight up, while she was sleeping. I'm a very blessed mommy, and I'm loving every minute of it, even waking up three or four times a night, even having to stay in the house, and stay sitting or laying down, even with the accompanying pains of being a first time mom, I'd totally do the whole thing over again. Can't wait to get married again so I can have more babies :)

I'm so happy for you Immawildthing. Bringing a child into the world is truly a miracle. Not only the birth itself, but the amazing feelings it creates in us.
