I used to love that stuff. Something about having kids... I just don't have the energy for it anymore. I feel like my ability to THINK just evaporated when kids came into play. This must be why theologians are men. Yep.

Standing before me is an opportunity to make a move to change the company in a way. To help employees and thereby help the individuals that we suport. Increase wages that are really needed! There are two other people who are on board with this opportunity, one of them being my manager, but I am hesitant. Do I feel strongly enough about this to put the effort in? What are the consequences? In the end will it actually help? What will the demands be of the company? What will be the ripple effects? So much unknown, and I am trying to analyze, trying to see all the possibilities, not go into this blindly. My main fear is that the change will cause me to dislike my job, when I found a job that I enjoy. That, I cannot foresee.
If this has anything to do with going on strike/boycott, I wouldn't recommend it.

The other night, I had a dream about a grizzly bear eating someone's Hummer and having to be taken to the hospital. I've had even stranger dreams since.

Sometimes I just want to disconnect my brain while I'm sleeping, because it's kind of freaking me out. I mean, the grizzly bear dream was just weird, no big deal, but the rest...I don't even want to go to sleep, for fear of dreaming dreams.

I guess I could stay up all night and watch HGTV and eat ice cream.

But then I'd feel guilty and have to like...exercise...and that's a 4 letter word.

Guess I'll take my chances in the dream realm.
I HEAR YOU! Ugh, I have the weirdest dreams. That is, when I can sleep at all. Stupid brain!

Oh good then it's not just me.
Halfway through one of them, my eyes lost focus, I started drooling, and began mumbling incoherently. I managed to exit the page, but now feel a need to curl up in the fetal position and rock back and forth in the corner until the sun comes up.

That's too rich. I've been in that position all night myself. My nut job of a sister texts me from Estes Park in Co that she's camping and water is rising all around and they're evacuating from those floods that have been on NATIONAL NEWS and wants me to come get her.
I'm in Tennessee.
Turned out she and the people she was with are all ok and despite the roadblocks and such they're headed to Denver. Now I gotta go to work.

She's all "our earthmother is so magnificient in her grandeur and we need to respect,,,,,blah blah. Nut case thru and thru.

One time, I threw up on the floor of a Home Depot. I mean, I didn't walk in with the intention to defile the place, and it had nothing to do with their poor customer service. Well, it could have been the hot dog stand out front of the place...not sure. Anyway, so I had a lot of people stare at me and disappear quickly because, I mean, hello...sick. Sickness is sick.

Um...I have some things I should be getting done today, things that don't involve telling gross stories.

By the way, Home Depot really ought to have more quickly accessible bathrooms. Or at least trash cans.

Yesterday at Home Depot I was checking out, the cashier was a middle aged man with a mop hair do, he looked at me and said, hi, in a low depressed voice, I said, Hi, how are you? He said he was good, the strip on my debt card is bad so I asked if he could punch it in like a credit card, uh I don't think so, he said, so I said really? Uh yeah, he said. So I asked if I could write a check, uh yeah, do you have a pen I can borrow, Uh, we short on pens today, so he asked the lady next to him, she responds, gosh I don't know. He found a pen, I wrote a check, I said do I make it out to just Home Depot, or THE Home Depot, well you're at Home Depot, I said that's not what I meant, but I'll make it out to Home Depot. When he bagged my stuff he put all six of my items in a smallish bag, I said, you know that chemical is pretty strong and I don't want the bag to rip and everything to fall out. Oh yeah, I'll give you two bags if that's what you want. Uh, yeah 2 bags if you think you can spare them.

I told my husband I think I was on one of those joke shows. I'm not exaggerating either, it was bizarre. I've had to search for people to help me in there, one time I had a man tell me to go up front and look it up on their web site. This is why if I could find TSP Phosphate anywhere else I wouldn't go to Home Depot. Nuts!

Hmm that's treading on some shaky ground. I used to work for a large retailer and there were a couple managers there that I liked working with. They were both pretty cool and easy to get along with and they seemed to enjoy their work too. Well, one day I noticed that they haven't been around lately so I asked someone if they were on vacation and they told me no they're gone. So I was like what do you mean by gone, and then she told me that they got fired because they were involved in trying to start a union. That's probably grounds for wrongful termination but I'm not sure.

Be warned, everyone. I have my learner's permit and now am a legal driver (as long as the person I'm with is over 21 years old). You never know where I may end up. ;) When I get enough experience in parking lots (which I've been driving a little bit before I took the test...not on the road, but in parking lots) and some experience driving on roads (not in busy traffic, but like roads that have barely any traffic), I might just do a random roadtrip somewhere. :D

Wow, I'm glad she's okay! And that you didn't have to drive up there and get her. LOL. My brother has some crazy philosophies and beliefs too. Not mother earth so much as uncanonized and very sketchy "bible" books.

I'm going to start looking into Driver's Ed classes and setting time aside at least every other day to drive and really get experience in so I can get my license. :) I'm really blessed. I'll be the first out of my other two sisters to pass my permit test the first time through, AND to get my license before 18, since I'll be graduating waayy before I'm 18. I'll be 17 December 6th, graduating in May...if I get my license by that time, I'll be good to go for everything. Getting a part-time job, aiming to buy a car, being able to go to any college I want within somewhat reasonable driving distance...aaaah you have no idea how exciting this is for me. :)

Someone walks in a girl changing and sees her in her bra and underwear. "AH!!" She exclaims, "Get out!" She's embarrassed. They just saw her in her underwear!!
Then that same girl will walk out on the beach in a bikini even skimpier than her underwear with no shame at all.

Makes no sense at all, does it? But it's not an uncommon attitude. Why is it that underwear is "private" but then they flaunt their body wearing less than that and it's no longer "private"?
