I forgot how long it takes to pack for a holiday away, when you're flying. Granted, I've only flown once, previously and that was mid-2006, so fair enough. Checking and double-checking. I hope it's all there. Queensland, here we come! Prayers would be appreciated, as I'm quite anxious about being in a flying sardine tin. Thanks, brothers and sisters!

I heard the UP Network, whatever that is, screened a TV movie adaptation of "Noah's Ark". Did anyone see it? If so, was the movie any good?
I haven't seen it myself but an admin on another forum saw it and was... less than impressed. I include his review below:

Seriously... stick to Veggie Tales. This was garbage and in some ways anti God.

If I didn't know the bible story, I would think that God was a Vegan animal lover and that Noah was a Bi Polar Vegan animal rights activist. Noah dressed like Mad Maxx, fought like a Jewish Vegan Ninja, killing evil hunters and planned to kill his own grand daughters to protect future generations of Animals.

The fallen angels fell because they wanted to protect mankind and God punished them by making them into Rock and Mud People (Aryan Nation Religion).

Tubal Cain killed Rock people with a Rocket Launcher and lived on the Ark for almost a year, killing and eating the animals.

Ham killed Tubal Cain and inherited the shed skin of the serpent from the Garden of Eden, and Noah used it to bless his family.

??? He isn't living without a heart.........he has an artificial device in place to replace his human heart.........story is misleading. It would ONLY BE NEWS........if they removed his heart, sewed him back up and said "hey guy, get up and walk.............and he did!" :)

Nothing to this..........artificial heart replacement thingys been around a long time.

Well, I declare myself officially back from my hiatus (is that how you spell that word?). Hello again all of my CC friends. I've kept up a bit with streams and may have to go insert some random craziness in other threads (haven't looked at those yet).

Ah, no. Thanks, but that isn't the TV movie but the fairly recent big-budget movie starring Russell Crowe. And for a speculative take on the Noah story, I rather enjoyed it. That says something about its movie-making quality (not adaptation quality), if I, a staunch biblical creationist, can find something of great worth in it. Plenty different, yes, but the movie did what it set out to do - tell the seriously harrowing tale of Noah, Aaronofsky-style. A biblical psychological thriller; one quite true to Midrash.

If it is torture to live in the apartment under mine, because my Yanni and Ray Lynch is drowning out their Beyoncé, Selena Gomez, and Usher. If it is simply unbearable to endure my child screaming because their loud television keeps waking her up. If they can't stand the stomping because we need our sleep and their yelling and slamming doors is so important at midnight. If it is simply awful that I park one space over so my husband can park his car, and their response is inappropriate and disgusting images drawn on my windows; then I'm sorry, but there is something terribly wrong with them.
Sometimes I'd love to go down there and post notes on their door saying "let me tell you about Jesus", but that is, in a way hypocritical, and I shouldn't do that with my saviors name.
I know Jesus said to turn the other cheek, but I'm running out of cheeks!
I'm moving next week. I can be patient. I can be a good Christian. I can endure to the end.

... On a completely unrelated topic... Does anyone know where I can borrow a paintball gun from?

I think miss Blue has one she uses on Sirk's car that she can part with, if the price is right.

It is even worse when you go to the fridge for something and forgot what it was, so you walk away without it and you are hungry...

I have a paintball gun....it is not your usual paintball gun, but it works....

So sorry you have to suffer the bad living habits of others. :( After years of military housing, we know somewhat about that. A person feels trapped.

Yes, what wisdom that is to endure it because there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Best to leave with as little animosity as possible attached to the situation. Count down the days and rejoice as He rescues you from this awkward situation.

Hope your move is wonderful and you find that much desired peace. :D
