Health insurance is evil. The customers don't even know the half of it! I know because I've worked in pharmacy. :p

ohhhhh i hate it when the patient thinks they know more about insurance than i do! sometimes, they give me the "i don't believe you" look. so they say, "i'm gonna call the company myself."

go ahead. stay on hold for 15 mins. i get paid to do that lol

IKR. Imagine trying to tell a patient that they have no more vacation refills from their insurance the day they are scheduled to fly out of the country. o_O Ugh, I don't wanna talk about it anymore. :p

I know this is an old-ish post but I've been away for a while.

Where it breaks down is when you examine why you are eating and why you are drinking. You eat food to sustain life. You eat chocolate because it has caffeine and you enjoy the flavor. You drink a beer to relax. Wait, why do you need to drink a beer to relax? I can relax just fine without it.
I don't think you were implying that these reasons are always true for everyone, but I still wanted to respond. Some people eat chocolate to relax (comfort eating), and some people drink beer because they enjoy the flavor. I'm sure that each individual person's reasons for the things they do will vary. Examining our hearts is always a good thing, but motives can't all be painted with a broad brush.

I was reading xkcd's "What if?" pages last night and found this. It seemed so relevant to so many discussions in this forum that I thought I would drop it here... and run!

Haha! That was great! I've never put THAT much thought into the soul mate belief (mainly because I've never adhered to it). I do take XKCD to task in their estimation of billions upon billions of people having existed prior to us though. The Bible accounts for 6,000 or so years, not 500,000 years or more of humanity. Look there he goes again, bringing biblical creation into every discussion. Give it a rest, Christian! ;) :P

Yes Tintin but the author of that comic is an atheist and an evolutionist. By his lights that estimate is accurate enough.

Of course it is axiomatic that if you start with a false assumption you will reach a wrong conclusion. But in this case I don't think it matters.

My health insurance is the reason I have to go to multiple places to get certain things done. I had to go to one place for a prenatal, another place for a blood test, and yet another for my ultrasound. I wouldn't be surprised if they wouldnt take a certain hospital for when I have to have the baby.
I don't want to deal with health insurance anymore, but you never know when something horrible is going to happen.

I've been under the weather for a couple days and I would appreciate any prayers for healing. :) I believe it may be acute bronchitis, because my brother was diagnosed with it recently and now my symptoms are identical to the ones he had about 5 days ago. Anyway, I've mostly been sleeping, getting lots of liquids and watching Netflix. :P Here's hoping I feel strong enough to go to school tomorrow. I've got my own personal piano lesson and I need to prepare for my senior recital!

Will pray for your healing

I heard the UP Network, whatever that is, screened a TV movie adaptation of "Noah's Ark". Did anyone see it? If so, was the movie any good?

Oh no. Hope you get better soon!
