I love that Kristen Bell (who played Veronica Mars) is still in it. I used to have a huge crush on her (still do). I play the games mostly for the characters and story line. How many games are there now in the series and are all of them one big interconnected story?

The good story line goes until Assassin's Creed 3...

So...

1. Assassin's Creed I
2. Assassin's Creed II
3. Assassin's Creed Brotherhood
4. Assassin's Creed Revelations (closing the Ezio trilogy)
5. Assassin's Creed III

Those five close the story line that started in the first game!!

6. Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag (great game... not the best story, but it's great fun... better than AC III)
7. Assassin's Creed: Rogue (could not play it... you turn on the Assassins... and I just could not do it...)
8. Assassin's Creed: Unity... it's fun until now!! Let's see.. I'm still in the beginning...

And this year it should be released Assassin's Creed: Syndicate (if I'm not mistaken....)

So it turns out that the less I post in here, the more I text my husband. While he's working. And while he hasn't exactly asked me to stop, he Did say that texting someone several cat memes within five minutes could be considered "annoying".

So I was all, "Success!!" And he was like, "That will be a lot funnier AFTER this meeting is over", and I texted, "Who replies to stupid texts during a meeting?! Turn your phone off".

I may or may not have been texting his work phone, though.

...and this is why I hang out here and post nonsense. To save my marriage.

A few years back I read a couple of books on PTSD because my wife suffers from it and I wanted to understand what she was going through better. One of the experts that contributed to one of the books hypothesized that large numbers of people who suffer from auto-immune disorders actually have either untreated/undiagnosed PTSD, or other mental/emotional issues including repressed anger and holding hard grudges/hatred that raise their levels of stress (for many they are unaware of the stress because they've become accustomed to it) to intolerable levels. Eventually the body revolts because of the highly elevated levels of cortisol, adrenalin, and epinephrine that it was not designed to handle for extended periods of time.

At least you and your husband see eye to eye on it. IMO it is his responsibility to sit down with his mother and work it out. If I recall correctly, my BIL had to have a similar conversation with his mother about her forcing her child rearing ideologies down my sister's throat.

RoboOp (the founding Administrator) has tried ads a few times over the years to try to help fund the site.

Google ads in years past did not allow sites to filter the ads for content in which case users were seeing ads that were completely inappropriate for a Christian site. In more recent years they have allowed sites to filter by category of ad but by the time you filter any category that might possibly pop up an inappropriate pic or subject there's so little left, and so many users use pop-up blockers that the revenue is negligible.

At one time he tried a Christian based ad company and even they ran ads that would be questionable.

Christianmingle actually ran an ad that redirected me to something pretty dirty.... I was shocked for a nanosecond, but then I remembered that advertisers are simply out to make money.

I agree.
No one has much right to complain.

CC is not a non-profit ministry; it is a privately held corporation, and Robo, the owner, has every right to manage this business however he sees fit.

Actually this is more true than most "our rights" whiners realize. If Robo wanted to ban discussion of the color chartreuse on this forum it would be his right.

Actually Christian Chat is a duly registered religious non-profit in the Philippines (where RoboOp lives).

That being said, even the founder of a non-profit has the right to solicit donations from those who utilize it's services. The last time I checked just about every non-profit solicits donations in some way or another for one purpose; to cover the costs of the services they provide. In the case of CC this would include server bills (one for the forums, one for the chat rooms) and what is left over is RoboOp's salary. In most months what is left over is a pittance even without considering the number of hours that RoboOp puts into feature development (predominantly for chat since the forum is commercially available software).
