THanks Shine. It will look better when all the clear is on there, then I have to wait 48 hours before sanding it with 2000 grit and polishing it, then it will look like new.
Haha, Tintin, I am having a hard time figuring out these timezones. I feel your pain bro. Maybe next time, we should have a movie night for all the non-Americans.
What happened to your hood! I don't remember that the last time I saw you.
But that does look like good work. Wanna do mine next? I have an '08 Mazda 3 that has some oxidation on the roof. I'll probably have the entire car repainted soon. Want to do that for me?

Yea, the sun had taken its toll on the clearcoat on my car. Its actually a common issue with hondas of my model year. Some owners actually got honda to pay half for a new paint job, but that was after I already tried to repaint it myself some years ago.
If you want I can fix yours too. Can't do the whole car though. I'm just limited to spray cans and buying a paint gun and compressor costs about the same as having it painted.

Aww, thanks bro. My car might be tricky though; it's an unusual metallic blue. It looks a lot like this (except it's not an RX8). I expect to bring it somewhere early next year and have the whole thing repainted.

Thanks Shor! I used to use an airbrush in art school so that's where I learned good technique. A lot of the credit goes to the clearcoat though because it dries pretty smooth and gives it that high gloss look as long as its put on right.

Nice car! At first I thought that was an rx-8, (one of my favorites). The metallic blue shouldn't be too much of a problem. Even if it doesn't exactly match, it can be faded into the surrounding paint so its not noticeable. The only thing though is if you're planning to have the whole car painted it might be best not to do big touch up jobs because the type of paint might not be compatible with what a shop uses. They might have to sand off all the touchup first, which would add to the cost. I'm planning on one day painting my hood roof and trunk real well myself because I know I can make it look new if I put enough time into it. There are areas that need a lot of sanding and bondo in order to be smooth again but I'm going to just paint over them for now.
