lol Last night, I was working out.. it was pretty light, nothing too much, because I had already done my real workout earlier; I was just bored. But, during one exercise, I felt a bad pain in my shoulder blade area n the next thing I knew I couldn't move, twist, lay back, or put any pressure on either arm. I actually had to like crawl to a chair and pull myself up XD. I don't know what I did, but it's really sore today -_- of course, that is not going to prevent me from working out today. :D

So I just watched Terminator Genisys and was actually pleasantly surprised. Seeing as T2 is still one of my favorite movies ever and holds a lot of nostalgia for me, I was thinking, "Oh great, here comes another cruddy Terminator movie that will totally ruin all my favorite characters."

It was really great to see them try to bring back some of the heart that made T2 such a classic in the first place, alongside all the butt-kicking, of course. When I see people being whooped, I want to see some genuine feeling behind it!:p

However, I was really disappointed by their casting choice for John Connor--who on earth decided that John would now look like a middle-aged dad with a pot belly? That's fine if the character actually is SUPPOSED to be a middle-aged everyday guy with a dad bod, but it was pretty rattling to try to envision him as the super soldier son of two parents who are legendary fighters themselves.

Try as they might, I don't think they'll ever be able to top T2's effects, no matter how dated they are now, just because the very ideas for the T-1000 were so revolutionary at the time.

But as a plus, I thought Emilia Clarke was an impressively believable Sarah Connor (I may have to start watching Game of Thrones just because of her.) And the part where you saw that the T-800 had hung up her pictures and drawings in his hideout really gave me warm fuzzies inside.

My whole purpose of this rant, however, is to ask, how in the hee haw does Sarah Connor get NOT ONLY her very OWN Terminator but also a boyfriend from the future who would die to protect her?!

Seriously. How do I become that important and where do I sign up for that?

(I'm even willing to give up the boyfriend part if I can just have my own Terminator...)

I'm glad you enjoyed it, Kim. Because I found it very average. Certainly better than Terminator Salvation, but that's not saying much. I agree that the movie had more heart and that Emilia Clarke did a great job as Sarah Connor, but I found the action scenes and execution rather dull. Which is weird. Because even if an action movie is bad or average, usually the action scenes are somewhat redeemable. Maybe you need your own dragons to command.

Me likey.

Just don't tell me I have to sit naked in a bonfire until morning in order to hatch them. (Modesty issues, you know.)

Wow... My own Terminator AND dragons?

*faint* That would be 100 times better than any date I could ever imagine!!! A perfect relationship in the making!! :D

P.S. After the last two Terminator movies, I was desperate for any semblance of anything redeeming, anything at all!

Please send up urgent prayers. Tequila got outside this morning and I still haven't found her. She's an indoor cat so I'm sure she must be scared right now. There's a chance she may have fallen off the back porch into the river. I saw an animal moving in the bushes earlier, just before it got dark, but couldn't tell if it was Tequila or not. I hate having to leave my baby outside over night. This really sucks.. :'(

GAAAHHHH!!!!!!!!!! Please use caution and give your muscles time to recuperate. You don't want to do serious damage to your body. Google "muscle strain" and do some research on what muscle you may have hurt. I know you prob'ly already know about lifting and all, but working out when you've hurt your muscles is a real NO-NO!

As a former Starbucks barista, I can think of many negative things to say about gas station coffee... If dark colored flavored water counts as coffee. In fact, once you've had real coffee from all over the world... Like Starbucks, or intelligentsia, or many other types... going back to the knockoff stuff just really doesn't do anything for you anymore except make you feel gross and cheap… and just kinda leaves a bad taste in your mouth. Like Folgers…
I've had Intelligentsia, and it's good, but too strong - it's like the coffee's punching me in the throat on the way down. Gas station ah, ahem? I had a cup of gas station brew while passing through Ohio a couple years ago, and I can use words like horrible, tasteless, gross, disgusting, and even blegh to describe it. A word I can't use? Coffee.
