wondering if my 6 yr old knows me to well.... she still sleeps in my bed (due to circumstances i will not discuss) we share a full size yet i get maybe a foot of that space to sleep, we have come to a point to where i can physically pick her up and throw her across the bed and jump in before shes stuck to my back like super glue..... we have a standing agreement until she sleeps on her own that i can "apply" (half lay on her) until she moves over (works quite well) and if she refuses to budge i tease her until she wakes up and moves. Teasing as in i tickle her lips, nose, ears pretty much her face with her hair or ask random questions. So tonight she wouldn't budge so i applied pressure to move her she kinda woke up and i asked "hey can i stick my toe up your nose?" she replies "ohhhh my goodness!" Like when some slaps you in the face with a cheese slice and you pause and say "Seriously? Did you just do that?" (my family and i are a bunch of pranksters and jokers..its great stress relief ) I'm seriously wondering and pondering how well she knows me in order to reply like that in her sleep..............

I'm bored, I wanna watch anime. Do you guys have any suggestions?

- Movies only, or if series, at most 24 episodes only. Lel.
- Must be funny.
- Must be fluffy.
Sky Blue

Spirited Away

The Girl Who Leapt Through Time

(No I'm not an otaku. My brother is though.)

I enjoy anime, but I don't really know of much that's funny and/or fluffy. They tend to be dark or a least very sombre in their worldview.

Sky Blue sounds interesting.
Spirited Away. I've always been afraid of that movie lol
The girl who leapt through time, now this must be really good. I've read about it but is the ending worth watching?

Like Death Note? The kind that I like is shounen (e.g. Naruto, Bleach, One piece) with a little mix of shouju (e.g. Fushigi Yuugi, Ouran High School Host Club, Vision of Escaflowne) - most of these are old ones that I enjoyed when I was younger (I've only read some chapters of One Piece and Bleach). Most of the recent ones just take forever to finish and no adult has time for them :p watching a few eps once in a while can be a stress reliever though.

Beats me. You'd have to ask my bro.
Spirited Away is your typical japanese myth trip. My brother was not drinking while he was here, but I imagine it would be a good movie to watch while drunk. What I saw of it reminded me of some of the Beatles' later songs, the ones resulting from acid trips.

Another one bro was fond of was Howl's Moving Castle. I read the book when I was young but never knew they made a movie until bro downloaded it.

Also try "The Cat Returns." It's a bit cheesy and kawaii but it seemed alright from what I saw of it.

Of course what I saw of it was bits when I passed through the room where my brother was watching it.

I loved Howl! Now that was kinda fluffy. Alright I'll check out the Girl who leapt through time. There was another one that Molly suggested, but I still have to find it. Thanks!

I've started Madoka Magica and it's really good. It's only 12 episodes and somewhat light. I say somewhat because it is a bit serious as well. I love the music!

That's a great series, Molly, but it's not at all light. It's more a deconstruction of the magical girl genre. There are some strong Christian allusions throughout the series, which is very welcomed.

When it comes to anime I am completely clueless... All I know is that I love pikachu (even though I never even watched the show).

I had to kind of cut out anime because "back in the day", I was into all the really violent stuff like:

Akira
Fist of the North Star
Ninja Scroll
Ghost in the Shell
Mermaid Forest
Crying Freeman

Anything that had to do with vengeance and killing, I was totally into, and eventually I had to admit that it wasn't very good for my already (at the time) rather volatile personality.

I always found the fluffy, cutesy stuff overwhelmingly boring, which is ironic, because I tend to like animated films.

That's why I said 'somewhat light.' It's just a matter of opinion, I guess.

Sure. No problems. How far are you into the series?
I'm half way through...I called it light because it kinda reminds me of Sailor Moon lol...but below the surface it is dark. I really like that about it, though. Did you enjoy the music? That's one of my favorite parts.

Lol wow! Those were famous series back in the day. The most violent anime I've ever seen, is probably, the Gundam series lel. Oh wait, Dragon Ball was considered violent, right? Though, it wasn't gory, and I really enjoyed it as a kid. The worst anime I've heard of (never seen it and no plans to ever watch it) has a really sick plot. I walked away disgusted after reading the summary. I'm not gonna post the title here, though.

There are fluffy ones that are just plain stupid but still funny lol. Like... hmm, Special A! Lol. Oh my goodness, I watched that twice just for the butterflies.

Oh yeah, Magica Madoka! I haven't seen it lol but it reminds me of... dun dun dun. Magic Knights: Ray Earth! (has really great music too).

Has anyone here watched Cowboy Bebop?
