Books books books! I love going to Chapters! They have the most wonderful candles, accent pillows, throws and other bedroom delights. I bought a book called Mrs Poe lastnight. It's a historical fictional novel of a poet who ends up in an illicit affair with Edgar Allan Poe. Takes place in 1845 New York. Should be a good one!!! :) P.S. I always thought Edgar Allan Poe lived in Europe, I was quite surprised to learn that he was American. Bravo America.

We have 3 old sheds in our yard that never get opened. My mother-in-law decided, Tuesday, to go dig through one to see if there were any cool antiques she could use in her new house.

One of the obnoxious kitties who insist they belong here went missing...Tuesday.

Couldn't find the cat anywhere.

Last night, my husband reminded me his mom had been in that shed, so I went running out in the dark and cold and the rain with a flash light, and lo and behold...

KITTY.

Mad and hungry, but fine.

*sigh*

I know she didn't mean to try to kill my cat, but I am just...not...happy with my mother-in-law right now.

I'm glad you're cat is OK miss Kriss, I know they make you mad, but I can tell you love them because you searched for it. I think you're a cat lover and just don't know it. :)

Can someone please explain when someone gives you a reputation point, which is very nice, but do you put them under your name or what? I'm not sure how to do anything with them.

Well, I'm performing my Beethoven Sonata today (just one movement, actually). Normally it isn't a big deal, but I hurt my wrist practicing a certain section in this piece and I still have to be careful when I play it.. so I'm a little nervous. >.<

I posted this in the Family Forum, no one is watching it. I'm going to post it in here. I know there are a lot of Single Mom's and Dad's. This is about Mom's, but Dad's can relate too. Actually we can all relate. I know as a parent I've questioned and doubted myself many times. I watched this today and cried. [

Moms should feel perfect raising kids as the Lord leads them, His way should be their way. The most important thing to show your kids is love, and, not just any love but His Love, through you, shown to them. Kids will see your way of staying true to yourself to Him, even though, a lot of time, they will want to rebel, because it's fun to do things the wrong way, the 'flesh' way. But, stay strong, let the Lord lead you to His Truth. He is The Truth, afterall, not to mention, The Way, and, The Life, of which we get none of in our lives unless we go through Him. In some short-term situations, your kids may even, seemingly, hate you, 'I hate you, mom!' for doing things that are contrary to their fleshly, growing-up nature. But, God will calm that soul inside them as you pray and continue to go His way in your life.

Dad's, too, single and married, just like mom's, need to stay strong as the one God's using to raise them , He knows exactly how hard it is to raise kids, especially as a single, but, He in YOU will get you through, and, through, and, through, and, through, whatever it is, no matter how hard it seems to do, that you are going through. Faith in Him, He will get you through motherhood, fatherhood, any, 'hood of darkness meant by The Enemy to defeat you. God's victory was secured in 33 A.D. when His Son, Jesus, died on the cross, defeating sin and death, forevermore. His precious blood covers all you do go through, today, tomorrow, yesterday, forevermore. By His stripes we ARE healed :)

Thank you for sharing that. I think many mothers are a lot harder on themselves than need to. There is so much pressure on women to be everything to everyone, instead of just being supportive of whatever they choose to do.

"The customer is always right" is really the dumbest saying ever and I have no idea who made it up. Probably a customer.

You sure it's your favorite? There are 24 different sonatas, each with three movements, meaning that she's playing one of 72 possible selections that could be labelled a "Beethoven sonata."

You know, just to put it into perspective. ^_^

Since this is Streams....this football game needs to be over. Shour needs his ugly sleep before the last contest tomorrow. -_-

There have been an awful lot of times in my life when I have wished, desperately, that I was invisible. Quite apart from the awesome sneakiness that would come with invisibility, I am currently seeing dozens of other advantages.

If you're invisible, it's almost like you don't exist.

I think it might be weird that I feel like that would be a good thing right now.

Meh. If it's weird, so be it. Pretty sure y'all around here are used to that from me at this point.

Oh my word...I just made the BEST. Popcorn. EVER. It tasted like movie theatre popcorn/butter lovers. But it didn't even have any butter in it!!

We bought this stuff a couple weeks ago, and never got to try it out...till tonight. We were going to use it just for popcorn, since we decided Butter Flavored Crisco probably isn't good for you. So I put about a tablespoon of that stuff in, and then we put in just enough seeds that the oil covered them all. It didn't take long to pop at all. After I put some sea salt on it, I kid you not, it was the best popcorn ever. And it's SO MUCH healthier for you than some other oils out there. :) I'll definitely be using this stuff from now on.

I just made this sound like a food review or critique. But I don't care. :D

Bitstrips is clearly an app version of dolls and dress up.
I just spent 20 minutes on that app.
This is designed for females, not men.

Bitstrips will now be deleted off of my iPad.
