I have a bad feeling about one of my gigs this Saturday. It's through an agent and she's definitely not acting very professional. She lost the number for the other artist she hired, and had to email me for it. She is racking up extra expenses and seems unconcerned about what anything will cost (a red flag for a check-bouncer) and I have trouble believing that the deposit she was supposed to have sent weeks ago got lost in the mail. Ugh... Part of me wants to just bail out now, but it would leave the other artist in a bad spot. This is either going to be a very rewarding job, or a total scam with me as the loser. I hope it's the former. Me no like getting stiffed at payment time. -_-
Musician???

Nah, she's an artist. Does good stuff, though.

Reece! Go look at the Halloween thread, yo. Lookie lookie!
Yep yep... and her credit card went through so if all else fails, I've got my deposit. :)

(I wish I could play a musical instrument. Ahh.)

"Meleen" is just the name given to that style of Croc (Crocs?), Green. I couldn't find any meaning for the word Meleen other than a last name (admittedly, I abandoned the search rather quickly).

I see. Thanks for the explano, jilly, I think, Birks (Birk ;) ) are like that, too, the different styles have different names, Idk, I just wear'em :D They are the MOST comfortable flip-flops in the world, to me, anyway, just like Crocs are the most comfortable _______ in the world.

Jilly, what would you call a Croc? Fill in the blank? Or, anyone else, but, of course. :D

Hey, jilly, totally unrelated, and, 'course any of the dudegents or miladies can answer: How do you make a taco stand?
Take away it's chair. :D

oh , a second joke: How do you make a sad, sniffling, alligator sadder? Tell it, it has crocodile tears. :D

Actually, Grace-Like-Rain is an assassin! She only poses as a face-painter to get close to her target, then WHAM-O! She makes their face look happy so no one notices that they're dead. The families of the victims save a bundle on mortician costs and always have an open casket viewing to show off her work. The best looking corpses in the quad-state area, except for New Orleans, there is a flamboyant French guy who also likes to dress them up in fine linens and silks. Show off!

I have a tough call to make, and it's been getting harder and harder to make the call. First things first, though, is maybe I should get my license. Go through driver's ed and stuff. Then take the maneuverability stuff and road test will probably be a breeze. I'm pretty good at driving for a beginner, in my opinion. :p

But as soon as I get my license, well, probably in the spring, I'll go look for a steady income job, that will be able to pay me well enough to get a car before I go off to college. That will make things sooo much simpler for me.

Im being mean and bad at times. I know I should not because God will not be pleased. Im not like this before. I've been telling myself every morning to be nice and good and love my fellow believers, but I fail the moment I meet them. They said let time takes its healing. I SHOULD OBEY GOD. I SHOULD DO WHAT IS RIGHT, I CAN DO ALL THINGS THROUGH CHRIST WHO STRENGTHENS ME.. before its too late (telling this to myself right now ).
Have you ever thought through trying to do as you are, that is why you can't? There is a big difference in trusting it to be done already in you by God over one trying to do what God has past tense already done for you Through Son
Colossians 1:22 in the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight:
By Faith in It is done by God for you through the cross, death, burial and resurrection, God by himself once you believe are saved and by trusting this you walk as he walked. There is no sin in God's Spirit
Galatians 6:8 For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.
Just a little meat to eat slowly and chew well, before swallowing
It is up to you if this helps in your walk of Faith or not?
Thanks for listening, only looking to help, walk in truth forsaking the stress, that causes division

Or perhaps, acknowledging what people are already thinking. Assuming that people judge me as much as I judge myself and others.
Galatians 4:29 But as then he that was born after the flesh persecuted him that was born after the Spirit, even so it is now.
Romans 8:9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.
Romans 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
John 6:63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.
It is only by the Spirit of God that one walks in truth.
The Old flesh by the cross is considered dead with Christ at the cross, so the new life in the Spirit can and is given form God the Father through the resurrection.
It really is pretty simple, to pass from death to life if one is willing to be dead to self flesh that is?

I'm gonna ask you all a question.

I am in no way interested in a relationship with anyone right now, I'm about 90% content with being single, the 10% being those times where I'm like, "Ugh...I'm single. This stinks." But 98% of the time (the 2% being like...MONTHS ago. And I was DEFINITELY not interested in him for MANY reasons.), no guy takes notice of me, none of them have ever really gone up and said hi to me, minus one, but I haven't seen him in months.

I'll see threads at times saying, "Looks don't matter, but at the same time they really do." Now I'm not saying I'm ugly or I plan on changing my wardrobe, but it seems like guys like girls who dress up. I'm a jeans and t-shirt kinda girl. I don't do anything with my hair besides brush it, and on the occasion dry it. I don't do makeup, I don't have time for that stuff. Plus my pores are large enough on their own without more dirt and grime from makeup getting in them, making that even worse.

Anyways....my question is, does my not dressing up and not really doing anything to "make me look pretty" really turn guys away? I mean, I don't really care right now, I'm just trying to graduate and get to college. But I am extremely curious on that. It makes for an interesting topic.
The word Make-up says it all, when one wears make-up, essentially they are made up, and it is not the real person and leads to much lies and not ever being real. There are many marriages hiding truth from each other over being afraid of how the other will react, and so to love our neighbor as self we lie to each other, what a façade.
much better to tell truth, I have been together with my wife for 30 years now, and we tell each other truth, in how we feel, emotions sometimes try to get in the way, yet we both know, how emotions, try to derail the train, when it tries to lead, so we do not build up emotions, by trying to hide how we might feel, and say it outright, I do not like or I do like, and accept each other, without trying to change each other, as that is what emotions do to us as people.
This world is glamorous, a fake in hiding truth, and wants everyone to join in and get derailed through emotional trauma, and divorce is now rampant, along with many other problems, that are hidden, and no healing comes from hiding.
Hope that helps

I don't think so little Christian, in fact most guys don't like girls with a lot of make up. My beautiful 17 year old Niece won't leave the house without her eye make up on. That makes me sad, she doesn't need it! Natural is better. Being yourself is even better.

I don't want to sound cruel, but I've always wondered if guys go after girls with a lot of makeup and revealing clothes because they think they're easy. And men please don't get mad at me. I know most men like a normal gal.
No matter what Sister Puberty is Puberty, and no matter what men are attracted by Puberty, I wish this were not true, but it is truth. And no man can have two faces one to the crowd and the other to self without eventually, becoming perplexed as to which one is true.
Prayerfully comes then to terms, and begins to trust in our Lord Jesus Christ to show him/her truth as in how to trust God over this Puberty thing, that derails every human being to some extent or other. When Puberty hits, is when the war of flesh and God's Spirit truly begin, and the man has now two faces, one to the crowd and the other behind closed doors
This is truth between male and female.

Humans do a whole lot of stupid crap.

*sigh*

Back to the drawing board.
And prayerfully see the difference of Flesh Puberty and the new you in the Spirit of God, that sees truth as truth is and loves as God loves not as this world does 1 Cor. 13:4-13, is the love that God pours out into one's new heart he gave us freely, at no charge ever

I can't...make this compute. I'm sorry, I don't mean to be argumentative, and I really can see your point...but I just...disagree, is all, I guess.

Working my 'magic' with that guy...We exchanged names. Did it so sly too :D Then I began to think, wait a minute what am I doing here. Do I actually want this? What will I be giving up going into a relationship? Am I actually happier alone? There's no going back if you decide to want a relationship. Hearts get invested. God knows what happened with my last crush. Am it setting myself up for trouble?
The desires of flesh and the desires of the Spirit of God are always at odds with each other. The world keeping one incomplete as in focusing on doing right over wrong, will never achieve perfection, only God past tense has already done this perfection through the cross of Christ for us, nothing left to do but believe and trust God to lead our life's. And one will know who to marry. Then one will, know and do as led.
Thanks

Don't panic! The world won't fall apart if you enter a relationship, and you might actually enjoy it. :) (Words to remember for my own future, too. Haha.)
No matter what one tries and or does, seek to learn from every action and reaction right or wrong. And ones future will be better as long as one does not sulk in sorrows over bad decisions.
We have the chance to learn from everything that happens good or bad,
Oh Lord if I can learn form all my mistakes, what a wonderful future I will have in trusting you to do in me what I now see I can't do in me

It is great to be aware, and so watch carefully, without condemnation and go as led and be not stiffed. Be not be a door mat, and stand strong in God's words through you unto this other person. As long as you stand strong, this other person will not see you as a push over and will pay you what is agreed upon.

I've matured mostly because God has been the growth in my life. I remember Jilly helping me back when I was new to this site and she told me I should pray for the Holy Spirit and I have to say it worked and months later I got baptized and now I feel awesome thanks to God providing all that I needed and more so from moment to moment. I have now read all the new testament and I'm on 2 Samuel and I'm so attached to reading the Bible daily it feels thrilling every time I read it. It feels amazing and beautiful knowing that my King has put these words just for me, us. Thank You Lord! Thank You Jesus! Its a unique emotion to realize that my personality has changed and I don't fear speaking in front of people like I used to and I haven't done anything by pray and ask God for help which the world would say would not help for changing a personality or public speaking because I'm making myself an introvert but in fact this is the example of Gods miracles and Him being the Growth that will change who we are by relying on Him. Thats what is going through my thoughts and I'm sooooooooo happy. I feel sooooo much wiser than I used to be although to many I may seem like the same guy ;)
Just continue to learn sifting all things through God your ultimate friend in all things, right there in your new heart he gave you to teach you truth over error(s)
