I can't write a paper on choleies because it's not new enough. Stupid medical advancements... It has to be within 10 years. I'm forced to write about plastic surgery because I don't have time to find something else. I've been awake since 3:30am and all I want to do is NOT write this paper.

First world problems, eh?

As with everything else, there's an xkcd for that.

The tumbleweed then tried to roll off into the sunset, but since the Old West is north of the subtropical ridge the prevailing winds were in the wrong direction.
I don't get that 4th pic. The tunbelweed had guns??

First American Idol goes.. then Manny Pacquiao calls it a career.. and now my favorite player of all-time Kobe Bryant is playing the last game of his career tonight.. It's been a tough week. XD

All three should have been retired years ago..

xkcd is a frequently satirical comic. In old western movies two guys would have a shootout, and while the two were staring each other down for dramatic tension there would be a tumbleweed sailing through for atmosphere. In this xkcd cartoon the tumbleweed stops and shoots both guys.

Eh disagree. Especially with Pacquiao who just dominated one of the best fighters in boxing. He still has it.
Oh I didn't know that. I don't watch sports. All I know is that he's been a governor of one of the provinces in the Philippines. I mean how does one be a governor and a championship boxer at the same time?

You are harsh. Me and Manny Pacquiao are close. We are neighbors.
Cool! :D I thought he wasn't a good boxer anymore. I still remember when he lost to that mexican boxer. My relatives all wanted him to win. I lost interest in him after that.

He can still beat Mayweather but the judges wont be convinced unless it's a TKO so its better for Pacquiao to retire a winner and concentrate on becoming a future senator. Nothing is impossible for him because he is a believer. As believers we are more than conquerors.

The thoughts that run through your mind while applying to your top college:

- I'm going to go poor again
- I'm going to die
- Is this what I really want to do for the rest of my life?
- I will no longer have so much money to spend.
- IT'S BEGINNING NEXT MONTH? NOOOOOO.

*mentally breaks down*

Yes, as you can see in the 3rd pick. He even readied his weapons upon tumblring through *the click click*, and then boom...or in this particular case, blam blam...which is the sound effect of no sidearm I've ever heard. Nonetheless, it's a comic, meant to be humorous, not logical...unfortunately.

...not that humor is unfortunate, but the lack of logic...

Because the setting up for obvious expectations, and then flipping those obvious expectations on their head can't ever be funny, because things are only funny if you cackle uproariously in response?

By no means did I call the strip or its implications un-humorous, only illogical. Things like humor are almost entirely subjective, and thus find endless forms of expression. It's actually very common to find such things in humor, because those who reason tend to point out things which make no sense. Whether doing so comes across as funny or serious depends on the delivery.
