Apparently, I left my car lights on overnight about 14 hours to be exact and it started fine. Changing my battery tomorrow since it is 7 years old, I was afraid it would die on me this winter. Kind of having second thoughts that I may be down grading by putting the new battery in. Right now I have 750 cold cranks and I would be going down to 700. Seems like I have super powered battery currently in the car, I would hate to replace it with something subpar

Hmmmm, do you have an 'interstate battery' type place in Canada? They test batteries for free. That one you got now is a real winner, based on the fact you left the headlights on for 14 hours and still started right up.

Some batteries are maintenance free and some have water in them. keeping water up to top (so copper core submerged) in those little capped vestibules is important.

But, yeah, I would check with a battery place, I think, even a place like O'REilly's or Autozone tests batteries for free, they have portable machines and can come out there and tell you if it needs replaced.

You said the battery was 7 years old so that is a long time, i'm just green and trying to save you money, milady :)

But, you don't want to be stranded either sometime in the cold somewhere of a Canyadayadayada winter soooooo that peace of mind can be worth a new battery even though the one you got seems to be doing the job, and, then some, still.

I work with and follow some local animal helpers on Facebook. I've been in bad areas were animal cruelty is known to happen, searching for spotted cat's in the evening, I've taken animals in. I still don't do enough. Today yet another person giving up a cat because they can't take it with them when they move. This cat lives in NYC, I live 8 hours away from there. I can't get the cat. I'm not sure the circumstances behind why he can't keep the cat. I would take him if I could because he more than likely will end up in an over crowded shelter filled with unwanted animals. It's heart breaking.

I can't take animal cruelty and I can't stand when people dump animals. I used to live in an area were animals were left behind and dumped constantly. How could you? I just can't imagine leaving a helpless creature behind. Often times people will dump cats at our state park Presque Isle, more than likely these cats will freeze to death or get eaten by a Coyote.

If you don't plan on taking care of an animal for the length of it's life then don't get one.

I don't love it when my parents feel like they have to have my email passwords, and have to go through my texts. What is up with that?? I'm 18 now folks, just got out from under someone's thumb, don't need it again. This is me, seriously wishing There was a posibility of moving into my own home... But alas, there is not

Fenner, when I worked at a vet's place, they had taken in some day old puppies to distribute between the staff to feed them every couple of hours. Someone had found them in a dumpster in a box.

I also read an article the other day of things people have done to get rid of babies they just had. Broke my heart, and I couldn't decide whether to give the mother a hug (because what pain they must be in to believe that getting rid of that baby in that way is the best thing to do) or just SMACK them in the face because it infuriates me that a life was treated that way. More the latter, it is my initial "flesh" reaction I suppose. :-/

Been without FB for about a week now. Realized that I really don't need it, yet I am still drawn to it when I feel bored. CC has been a good alternative.

I visited a church last week for the first time, and just for being my first time today they sent me a loaf of Panera bread and a 5$ gift card from Starbucks . I feel a little guilty because I might not be picking it as my new home church but.....FREE STARBUCKS HOLIDAY COFFEE, YAY!!! :D

Today went great!! Got 90% of my Christmas shopping done. :) Unfortunately, my napping plan was cancelled because of the fact my sis and I went looking for a book for my dad and we couldn't find it, and we took a super long time trying to find it. Oh, well. :) It means I'll sleep more tonight! And since I go to Saturday services for church, I can sleep in.

Can't sleep. Monster under my bed will eat me.

...But really, this is what I get for sleeping in, plus drinking coke at 10pm

Woke up a whole hour earlier than I need to, so that's annoying. Guess I could be working on my grocery list, though...you know, be productive instead of sitting here staring into space and drooling on myself.

I totally drooled. I should probably not admit that. But I did.
