Many years ago, I decided to save my bus passes. I just remember I still have a collection of about 50 beginning in 1997. 50 years from now, they will be considered antique when we will no longer drive on roads, rather in the air much like The Jetsons

A lot of people thought The Hobbit movie was too violent, three hours of film and tooo much fighting. I think, that's the girl critics saying that. Guys can't have enough swashbuckling and swordplay and guys getting thrown off of mountain sides and into pits and fighting a dragon and killing spiders! oh, whooops, I'm getting ahead of ourselves, so, yeah, guys (and arwenbaggins) are the ones that were NOT saying that The Hobbit was with too much fighting scenes. That was all them women saying that :D
No, but, seriously, The Hobbit needed all its action scenes to move the movie forward. As far as fighting goes, maybe, one time, or two, seeing the munchkin men fighting the orcs riding on their ferocious wolves was a little unrealistic. But, I just always thought of David in battle against Goliath, a higher power was holding their swords, or, for David, his sling :)

With God, and, keep in mind, The Hobbit has that feel of an outer force guiding them, helping them, it's like this great adventure is destined for a good ending of getting them little men all through their scrapes. And, so far, so true, I believe, there are 14 of those little Dwarf dudes that start out the movie and not a one's died yet.
It is good to know when you watch The Hobbit--and The Hobbit 2 as arwenbaggins aptly pointed out coming to a theatre near you in another month--J.R.R Tolkien is a Christian. :) The one time that the hobbit and co. were in real trouble,or ,two, or, three times, like with the trolls as the giant ogre men were winning the battle with Bilbo Baggins and co., something divine happens, like, usually Gandalf, who broke open the stone to let the sun's rays turn those twerrrible trolls to stone. :)

I'm watching my dog sleep by my side, doing her little occassional 'woof-woof-woof' in crescendo as she dreams of chasing some little squirrel feller through the forest :)

It doesn't make complete sense, but, I think, people misunderstand dogs, as unless they're out hunting and stuff, they can be just as LAZY as cats, from what I've heard. Hmm, maybe, I need to get on the 'net, but I've heard that dogs sleep 20 hours of a day, and, that's pretty close to the same amount of time as a cat does daily. Except Garfield, he don't count :D

Thinking a little of what stilledwater said, but, yeah, this thread is the thread that keeps on posting, kind of like the gift that keeps on giving, or, not. OK, thought, already, how about we just keep posting on this thread another year straight and then we offer this thread to the Guiness Book Of World Records for longest thread EVA ! :D

I've started writing fiction with a friend of mine. The plan at the moment is for two books in the series, but I'd rather do three. I guess I'll just have to wait and see.

I would not be at all offended if you named a character after me ;)

With my work schedule and my parents living outside the city, it means that I will be spending Christmas Eve alone. I like that. I hope that the house is empty so I can cuddle up with a book, my kitty, Christmas music and hot chocolate on the couch and just soak in the season :) Looking forward to it.

So long, sleep....nice knowin' ya. Since I was sick this week I didn't get a lick of schooling done. I wasn't even on the computer much. When I was I was very tired and didn't have the capacity to comprehend. Now here I am, 12:16 in the morning, getting at least one thing done to satisfy my school so I don't get in trouble. -_- Well if you guys had done a different online curriculum, I wouldn't BE in this mess...

My school does an online thing. And they are just....awful. I never in my life thought I'd say this but I'm willing to choose going to my local public school (which is an awful place, too.) over doing this.

And not all of their subjects allow all the features they boast about in their curriculum.

My kids are in an Early College High School that uses Edgenuity computer curriculum. They've gone through several different curriculae over the years (e2020, Novanet) but this one seems to be working better. Are you in a charter school?
