After three vet visits 2 with the non clinic vet office what I've been trying to get through to the not a vet clinic, a pricey regular vet office is my Dog has skin allergies. Constant paw licking, rubbing her head on everythiong, sneezing, watery goop eyes. Then last week I saw her digging at her ear, I looked in and saw brown stuff. So I call the vet and, well it's probably yeast and fungus but we have to do a lab test just to be sure. After that call I call the clinic Doctor who is the best vet I've ever taken my pets too, but it can be hard to get in, luckily they had an appointment open, so I snatched it up. He looked, no it's not mites it's yeast and bacteria, I explained everything to him. She has allergies, try a grain free food, medicated ear drops for 7 days and Benadryl when she needs it. If she doesn't show improvement in a few days bring her back. Did what he said, no more head rubbing, eye hoop is minimal and paw licking has almost stopped. I really think it has a lot to do with the food change. He can figure this out without charging me for lab tests. I wish every vet was like him.
