Huh? Shouryu, were you driving 30 MPH or 179? Maybe I should get some sleep; perhaps this would make sense after some shut eye...
If there were a way to get a stock Miata to move at 179 mph (that didn't involve dropping it from the International Space Station), they'd have to revoke my licence. Ames is making a math joke. ^_^ Making the car do a 180 (spin 180 degrees), not do 180 (180 mph).

(Although I will admit that I have done 180 kilometers per hour. Once in the Miata, and a couple of times in the previous Shourmobile. Probably shouldn't admit that in a forum where there's a former cop, but I don't think I've torqued Jules off to the point yet where she'd turn me in. Yet.)

The 3+ hours it took to get to Van Horn was the accident(s). The 3+ hours to get from Van Horn to Ft.Stockton was inclement weather. Roads iced over, tons of snow. Surprised you aren't seeing any of that on your end of the state.

What's with Texas having snow and ice? It's ruining things for me. It's supposed to be a desert filled with tumbleweeds, horses, preacher's wives with big hair, and the Alamo.

When my sister-in-law was finally allowed to emigrate from Brazil last year, she landed at DFW on the morning of December 27th. She went from one of Brazil's hottest summer days to 30 degrees, and my brother didn't warn her. When we walked into the parking garage, her jaw dropped. ^_^

Hahaha!!! That may be the first time in the history of me being alive that I DIDN'T get a math joke XD! You won, Ammiee. Oh, dear, I scrolled down to see how Aimee spells her name, and seriously,...it MUST be time to go to sleep now; I can no longer spell OR comprehend math :).

I quite a few years ago I was dressed for a California winter. I got off the plane at O'Hare around midnight to 21 degree weather. My light weight sweater, jeans, and chucks didn't keep me warm at all.

But... will it be too girlie? I don't really know the story. Jane Austen always struck me as writing really girlie type stuff. But then again i've never read anything by her. So i don't know.
Well its not a Jane Austen book, its a Charlotte Bronte one. Here's a trailer. Its worth watching. Its nothing like 'the notebook' if thats what you consider girly.

We have freezing weather forecast all week. I think Wednesday night the low is 29 degrees, which is pretty crazy for November. You drove through a bunch of snow?? That IS weird for so far south/west. We have snow predicted for tomorrow.

Radar looks as if it's going to hang out just west of the 35 corridor, so once I'm past it all, it'll just be cold, rather than cold and dangerous, hopefully.

I know we planned on donuts; they're a hojillion times easier on snow or ice. (Or with a V8.) All we'll need is a snowed-over parking lot. ^_^ They won't be very fast, though, kind of a trade off. Fast is difficult...but fast! Snow-nuts are slow-nuts.

If it snows enough to stick on a parking lot, I'll be very surprised. Either way, this might require some video filming!

Dear Grandpa....

I miss you. You have been gone for 3 days now, and I am thinking about you often. I know you are in a better place, in heaven and praise God you can walk and leap and see Jesus...!!! I am excited and both sad because you aren't here for me to see your face. But I wouldn't have wanted you to suffer as much as you did when you were living.

I love you and miss you...

It's so easy to lose focus. To forget who you are. To drift off to an unfamiliar place where you feel as if you are being held under. Your vision is blurry. Your brain is foggy. You're feeling around for a door handle, but only fumble. And you may not even notice that you are sinking until your head is already under water.

But there comes a day when you wise up and stop fumbling around for the handle because you realize you are never going to get out of it on your own. You finally turn loose of the thing and humble yourself before God, realizing you should have done it long ago. Once you finally surrender whatever it is, the fog thins, you remember who you are and your vision improves.

That final battle is usually the ugliest. I wonder why we ever let it get that far.
could it be:
Ephesians 6:12 For we are not fighting against people made of flesh and blood, but against persons without bodies—the evil rulers of the unseen world, those mighty satanic beings and great evil princes of darkness who rule this world; and against huge numbers of wicked spirits in the spirit world.
All done through thoughts of our own person, and we agree or disagree and there are consequences we can learn from and change our mind to the right thought,. and for me that is trust in Father 100% through Son's finished work at the cross, the only place of freedom that I ever found, trusting in God, and not self anymore, I make a mess of things through stress, and worry of future along with guilt form past. /which through Christ is all taken care of past, gone history, move on forward and learn from past, don't be concerned over future live for today in the present for that is the present life right now this very minute that God has given us for now and forever

It really bugs me when I'm walking through the store and all the Christmas decorations are up and it's not even thanksgiving yet. I would much rather thanksgiving than Christmas. No offence to the people who love Christmas, I just like thanksgiving more. I don't mean to be a Scrooge, but I usually don't celebrate Christmas. However, I don't put down the ones who do... Maybe I'm not a total Scrooge... :p
Your not you are a wild thing right? Those that believe are a peculiar people

The first coherent thought I had after waking up this morning was "Hey, dropping a car from the space station wouldn't make it fall back to Earth!"

Thoughts I had while I should have been paying attention to today's sermon:

That song they are singing is from Romans 2:4, one of my favorite verses...What? Content in all things? I'm still mulling over last week's sermon. Can I really handle anything else? My spiritual brain is full!...I am really overdue for a haircut. I look like a middle-aged Jimmy Neutron...Okay, he's just building on last week's message, no reason to panic...I'm looking forward to the first Nutcracker rehearsal on Tuesday...In keeping with our Thanksgiving tradition of having an experimental side dish, I wonder what I should do? Last year's apple/thyme/onion things was good. I like apples in savory dishes, but it was kind of "meh" with the kids.....oh, everyone chuckled at something the pastor said, I should pay better attention...Will I be able to get in a haircut by Friday, when I have to put on a tuxedo?...I like that the pastor repeats things for people like me....

umm.....Does anyone else do this?
