I did watch Downton Abbey for a while. I Stopped watching it after a few seasons, I don't really know why, now. I loved Bates and Anna, they were my favorites. There are some really good ones, Wives and Daughters is good and He Knew He Was Right. Cranford was great.

But, I don't know if you are that much into period dramas, they're not to everyone's taste.
I didn't think I was into period dramas but everyone was talking about it so I gave it a try and got hooked lol. :D One of the reasons I stopped watching is because all these great shows started taking over my life because I'd stay up all night binge watching them lol. I used to watch a lot of cable shows and some korean dramas but now I don't watch any.

And I do love all the formality, class and simplicity of that era. :)

Fortunately I don't have cable, just basic television and it ens up on PBS most of the time. I like period dramas, but suspect more women than men like them by a large percent. Victoria is very clean and so good, and based on real events. I found out tonight that the scene in the series where Albert is dancing with Victoria, takes a knife out of his boot, and cuts his shirt in order to put her flowers next to his heart REALLY happened. That's why this one is superior, in my opinion, because it is real.

They had a real life love story. If you like reading history, read some of Victoria's diary. I read parts in college for a history class. It's a good story.

Oh I don't think I could handle too much romance. It would just make me sad and start questioning God lol.

Do you go to church? Maybe you can meet a Christian girl there. You have to go where they are.

I think I am going to go see a movie by myself this weekend. I have never been to a movie by myself before.

I can't remember the last time I went to a movie theater, actually. Probably because it costs $9+ just for a ticket these days. :(
*** what movie do want to see...?

This should be the title of a new thread. Kim, are you listening?

What? seoulsearch wants to know why I don't start the thread? Well... I don't watch movies, :p

I used to go a lot, but rarely go now. Working my way back into it though. I never really saw church as a place to meet women. I'm more of a "if no one comes a knockin', I ain't gonna go lookin' for someone" kinda guy.

Sorry about the grammar. It qualifies as artistic expression in this case though, I hope. :)

I've just spend the last 5.5 hours trying to catch the party Pikachu before it expires at 3 PM Central. Gotta catch em all right? I caught him!

I've done it a lot. Not that big of a deal. A good movie is a good movie, alone or not.

I am considering going to see Logan. My brother was telling me about how good it is. I don't know what movies are out nowadays since I don't watch normal TV so I am not sure what else there is to see, and I'm too disinterested to care to look it up, ha.

There are more storms coming in tonight. I LOVE storms, but as a homeowner now with not much money to spare (if any), I have new fears.

The contrast between my parents and I sometimes is frustrating, but mostly we're very close. I couldn't help but smile after hearing my dad had two donuts and was off to watch The Walking Dead, while I just finished preparing a [relatively] healthy lunch while listening to a philosophy podcast on Kantian ethics.

My to-do list today looks something like this:

1. Organize receipts.

2. Shop for new work shoes.

3. Make half a dozen phone calls (to people I really don't want to talk to.)

4. Eat french fries (hey, I have a coupon at McDonald's that expires soon!)

5. Go to gym.

6. Call church group to tell them I can't go to X event.

7. Work on Bible study (do first, if at all possible).

I don't know what's more of an oxymoron.

This list... or me.
