A blessed and happy Thanksgiving to both my American comrades and to our many brothers and sisters who do not celebrate this holiday with us. As Jilly has already pointed out (through blog posts from Angie and I), we should always be thankful just be called children of the most high God. Even in our darkest hours, we are blessed; it's just hard to see that sometimes.
Today, I am blessed to be surrounded by loving parents, a brother, a nephew and sister-in-law. Yesterday, I was blessed to spend a day with three wonderful sisters. And throughout the week, I have visited with many of the people whom God has blessed me with. I cannot help but be thankful.
i know some of us feel isolated. I know some of us here are going through a trauma that has left you wondering what happened between you and that one person and now you feel like something is missing. I have experienced something similar, right around the same time. I know that in these times, you might feel the opposite of thankful. I understand, I really do. While you might not be able to feel thankful, I want you to know that the Creator of all things, our God YAHWEH, still loves you, still wants you, even in the midst of your sadness and despair. As someone who has experienced the sadness that lasts through the night, I can tell you that His joy comes in the morning!
Be thankful.
If you can't be thankful, know that you are loved.
Rejoice in His blessings.
God be with all of you.
