I am at one of the upscale malls in the DFW region - you know, Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, Versace, Tiffany's, and the like. Types of stores that sell things at prices I would never find acceptable, even at the biggest discounts of the year. I have no intention of buying anything.
It's a madhouse, naturally, being the biggest shopping day of the year.
I paid for valet parking after searching the parking lot fruitlessly for almost half an hour.
There ARE lots of beautiful women about, but I'm not going to start something with a perfect stranger who lives 12 hours from me, not to mention the inability to determine someone's spirituality, age, or availability at first glance. And they're all concerned with shopping, just like my sister-in-law and mother.
I am here because I love my family. Because I love my mother and my sister-in-law. Which, coincidentally is why my father and brother are here, too.
My nephew is here because he is two, and will likely die if we leave him alone.
I wonder if Jesus had times where he was just had to chill in the marketplace while His mom shopped. Probably not, he was probably with Joseph most of the time. Hmm.
Yep. Love my family.
